Where did the Sendai Tohoku Main Line (Nagamachi-Higashi-Sendai) come from? Far as I can tell from my maps, they're just two stations on the Main Line, with no special spur line or anything. (Iwakiri-Rifu, on the other hand, is a spur line.)

I've got a bunch of pictures from last weekend to upload, too. Kogota and area, basically. I'll try to get on that. -William McDuff 13:03, 12 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure about the specifics, but all I know is that I got the translation directly from here. It lists the Nagamachi - Higashi-Sendai section as Tōhoku Main Line (3). My guess is that it's specific to the Sendai City area. The ja.wikipedia page for the line shows a freight station (Miyagino Sta.) between the two, so that might be it.

Neier's Edits

[edit]

What do you think of User:Neier's edits to the Sendai City Subway Line? I like the template, neutral about the color change, and against the addition of ', Sendai' on the end, personally... -William McDuff 00:43, 18 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with pretty much everything you said. I'm definately against the renaming of the stations, as the ja.wikipedia articles do not include the cities. Should there be more than one, the line should be included in parenthesis anyways. I'll make sure to ask about it.

I thought it was prefecture that was the standard... -William McDuff 01:52, 18 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, haha, so it seems to be. I just noticed that the ja.wikipedia articles use the same format, so I guess it'd be better to stick with that. The whole purpose of the (currently inactive) train project is to make the en.wikipedia articles as close to the ja. ones as possible (like categories and arrangements).

Miyagi Train Stations

[edit]

I found a site called 43things, where you list things you want to do, and decided to put 'visit every train station in Miyagi' on it [1]. I listed the stations, which will help you see my progress... or lack there-of. :) -William McDuff 06:47, 11 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
