June 2016[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm DAJF. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Shiriuchi Station, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. OK, thanks for digging up that JR Hokkaido news release. I have added a note to the Shiriuchi Station article mentioning the renaming after the station was closed. Note that there is no single easy translation for "信号場" in English, as in Japanese it can be used for locations that in English would be described as "junction", "yard", "passing loop", or simply "signal", and the literal translation signal station sometimes mistakenly used by Japanese speakers is not something associated with railways at all. I think it's best to leave the article name as it is, since it is primarily describing the station, and just add a note at the end (as I have done) mentioning its new role as a signal. I hope this makes sense. Anyway, thanks for providing a source for its new name. --DAJF (talk) 04:23, 26 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
