If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Namibia Electronic Sports Association requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Your question

[edit]

Please explain why I can not experiment with my User Page as per Wikipedia's own article?

http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Your_first_article

I wanted to create the NESA article, but it got canned before I had the opportunity to finish it.

I am really getting frustrated with how things are run here.

Please help.

regards

Kai

You can experiment with your own user page or a sandbox page. This page, however is not your user page or a sandbox but an article. In order to start an article on wikipedia (and not have it be deleted) you need to meet certain minimal standards. I think the work you currently have on your User page is quite impressive. I suggest you work on meeting the Wikipedia Notability standard and then move the page into an article space. If you need help just leave a note on my talk page. --> U5K0'sTalkMake WikiLove not WikiWar 22:27, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that I copied this from the article talk page in case it gets deleted.--U5K0'sTalkMake WikiLove not WikiWar 22:47, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

December 2011

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only you. You should also read our conflict of interest guideline. If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you. This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

U5K0 pointed out what I did wrong, and I can't because my account is blocked. Please read the messages above and unblock me to resolve this NamSandStorm (talk) 23:22, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You are only blocked from using this account name, as it is clearly not suitable - usernames must refer to a single person, not a group or organisation. Your are not blocked from creating a new account name - or you may request a temporary unblock to change your user name (and keep you list of edits) by adding the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on this page - filling in the appropriate fields. Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:36, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

There's a misunderstanding here: the page called "NamSandStorm" that sparked the block isn't about anything named as such, it's about the Namibian Electronic Sports Association. I've spoken to the user in -en-unblock, he mistakenly assumed confused ns0 and his userspace and thought he was editing in a sandbox environment. I am explaining this to the user, and have unblocked as it's clearly a misunderstanding, the page never mentions NamSandStorm nor google results point to any organization by this name. Just the title of the page was wrong. Snowolf How can I help? 23:51, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I just got a message on my talkpage about this, and that's exactly what happened; I saw you had created a page NamSandStorm, and for some reason managed to conflate that with the name of the organization, when I now recognize you was simply trying to make a userspace sandbox. My sincere apologies for this mess. The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 23:59, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No worries, it is just frustrating if admins take action without warning. NamSandStorm (talk) 07:07, 21 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

NESA

[edit]

Hi NamSandStorm, if you like I can help you create that article. NESA certainly had sufficient media coverage to make it a suitable topic for Wikipedia. Is there somewhere a copy of what you did so far? --Pgallert (talk) 17:50, 22 December 2011 (UTC) I think he moved it to his Sandbox. --U5K0'sTalkMake WikiLove not WikiWar 19:16, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Nesa.png)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Nesa.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:25, 3 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
