April 2024

[edit]

Hello, I'm Rdp060707. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, Jim Nantz, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ----Rdp060707|talk 02:26, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello i represent miss richards and have the divorce docket NYMike62 (talk) 02:42, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Doesn't matter. See WP:V, WP:CITE and WP:BURDEN. In addition, if you are connected with Miss Richards, you have a conflict of interest and have no business editing this article. General Ization Talk 02:43, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I’m confused ? You wanted a citation? Miss Richard’s is no longer married to Mr Nantz how does she get that switched? NYMike62 (talk) 02:50, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
When a reliable, published source reports that a divorce has occurred, and that source is supplied, we will update the article to reflect the change in his marital status. In the absence of such a source, the article will not be changed. General Ization Talk 02:52, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The divorce was finalized in April of 2023. Just because the newspaper didn’t publish it doesn’t mean it’s not true. NYMike62 (talk) 03:16, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And just because you say it occurred doesn't mean it did. If we were to change articles every time someone makes a claim about its subject, nothing here would be factual. General Ization Talk 03:19, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So providing the divorce documents isn’t proof? Why would one protect one side of a divorce and not allow the other to tell the truth ? NYMike62 (talk) 03:25, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You have provided no documents, merely claimed that you have them. I do not know who you are, what you have, or what it proves. Even if you did, we may not be able to cite them to support the requested change in the article. If you'd like to understand our policies, please read the several articles I linked to above. You can instruct Richards to email the Wikipedia Volunteer Response Team at info-en-o@wikimedia.org for assistance with this matter. She will need to provide proof of her identity and documentation to support the claim. General Ization Talk 03:31, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
