[edit]You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.

Why did you refer to yourself in the third person in this edit summary? Do you understand that Wikipedia is not interested in what a person wants to say about themselves, but in what independent reliable sources say about them? Your edits were sourced to what I assume is your personal website; that is not acceptable for a Wikipedia article in most cases. 331dot (talk) 00:59, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
The added information I wrote here are key highlights to supplement my biography related to my swimming career. If you go here you will see that I attended the FINA Championships in Shanghai: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Dominican_Republic_at_the_2011_World_Aquatics_Championships. If you go here you will see I attended the NCAA championships: https://www.swimcloud.com/swimmer/155972/?referer=collegeswimming.com. You can also see that I performed the 4.18.7 time in the Men's 500 Freestyle on that same site. Here is another source that shows I attended FINA Championships in Barcelona: https://www.omegatiming.com/File/Download?id=00010D020100000200FFFFFFFFFFFF02. Seems like most biographies are written in 3rd person on Wikipedia? How am I supposed to source evidence that I am NOMADsignal, an artist in an acceptable way for Wikipedia? What about using a link to my Spotify Artist page?NOMADsignal (talk) 01:12, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
- Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article about yourself, at Nicholas Schwab. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 01:39, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
Seems like if someone else contributes the factual information about me it is okay?NOMADsignal (talk) 01:49, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
- It is preferable that someone completely unconnected with you contribute information about you to the article. That information needs to be sourced to independent reliable sources, not a website like your personal website or social media accounts. It is possible for an article subject to make a formal edit request on the article talk page to request that someone else make an edit(again, if properly sourced), but are there any other contributions you want to make to this encyclopedia other than about yourself? 331dot (talk) 09:45, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
Besides my yearly donations to Wikipedia, my current interest is in adding a few key achievements to my current biography. I had someone recently find me on Wikipedia and then I realized that it's missing information on who I am. My home city of birth is not even there. Anyway, I'm sure you are very busy, and I thank you for your time. Seems like you are doing quite a detailed job making sure Wikipedia is accurate, and I appreciate that.NOMADsignal (talk) 18:52, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for donating, but us editors have nothing to do with the process of requesting or collecting donations; that's all handled by the Wikimedia Foundation which operates the computers Wikipedia is on, and they are not involved in day to day operations. 331dot (talk) 09:13, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
