A tag has been placed on Repl.it requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. AD Talk 19:19, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Repl.it for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Repl.it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Repl.it until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. DGG ( talk ) 03:10, 6 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Thanks for uploading File:Repl.it logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. Notice regarding a user script

[edit]

Hi. Recently, a request was made for someone to revise the User:Bility/convert24hourtime.js user script. I (DannyS712) took up that challenge, and have fixed the bug with the "thanks" button, fixed the bug regarding blocked users, fixed the bug regarding converting the times when examining a diff, and even added the feature to convert times when looking at logs. I have some more features planned, but I thought that, since you are currently importing Bility's script, you may want to know that a less buggy version is available at User:DannyS712/12Hours. This is intended as a one-time note. Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 20:07, 12 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback granted

[edit]

Hi Mosrod. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

 • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
 • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
 • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
 • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
 • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing!  ~~Swarm~~  {talk}  20:20, 30 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

TI-Nspire-II-T series moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, TI-Nspire-II-T series, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. ... discospinster talk 02:38, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Abelmoschus Esculentus' User Scripts

Dear all. Recently, our community lost a dedicated user, Abelmoschus Esculentus (talk). Among their projects were a number of user scripts that they left behind. I (DannyS712) have copied the scripts, and have taken over maintaining them. You currently import one or more of Abelmoschus Esculentus' scripts, and I thought that you might want to import a maintained version. Links to each script are provided below.

Speed Limit non-constructive edit

[edit]

I did edit for grammar, but I did not make any edits to delete large amounts of text. I believe there is a bug in the Wikipedia Android app, where large blocks of text are truncated, cutting off the end, in cases when a certain character limit is exceeded, possibly because of limited memory, or bad coding. This has happened to me only once before, out of hundreds of edits, and also on the mobile app. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, and I thank you for fixing the edit. Do you have any advice for reporting the bug in the Android mobile app, so that it can be fixed? HaroldBuddy (talk) 01:47, 21 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Repl.it Logo.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.

Stang 17:49, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:TI-Nspire-II-T series

[edit]

Hello, Mosrod. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "TI-Nspire-II-T series".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the db-afc, db-draft, or db-g13 code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! Mjs1991 (talk) 07:49, 14 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Banning the ip 24.56.12.124

[edit]

Hi

I am not sure if you are the right person to contact about this, or if this is the right way to do it. It is also probably a low priority, but the ip 24.56.12.124 keeps making malicious edits such as [1] and [2], hiding them behind descriptions such as "Typo" and "minor content". This seems to be pretty hard to catch, and it annoys me. I don't even know if banning will be an effective action to take, or if people like this are likely to just use another ip which then may be harder to catch, but I wanted to bring it to the attention of someone who knows more about how to handle these things than me.

Custom signature fix needed

[edit]

Hi there! You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.

The problem: Your signature contains a syntax error, specifically formatting tags that are in the wrong order.

The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.

Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
 1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
 2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
 3. Remove anything in the Signature: text box.
 4. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
 1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
 2. Change the signature as shown below, or make other edits to make the signature appear how you want it to appear.
 3. Click Save to update to your newly fixed signature.

Current signature:
<font color="green">Mosrod</font><font color="blue">Talk</font>

Fixed signature:
<span style="color:green;">Mosrod</span><span style="color:blue;">Talk</span>

More information is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. Thanks. – Jonesey95 (talk) 01:52, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Vincent Cassel as Athos

[edit]

Hello. As far as I know, I can't create an article in English because I'm not an English user. I created the brief article I was citing (about the upcoming "Musketeers" movies) so I answer for it: if you wish, translate it and upload it. Or tell me if there's a way for me to create it, and I will. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JuliánMarpez777 (talkcontribs) 22:22, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi JuliánMarpez777, the following article lists guidelines on requesting translation for non-English articles: Wikipedia:Translation. Then, if your translation request has been approved, you can add a link to Vincent Cassel. Thanks! MosrodTalk 22:28, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Saranac NY page edit

[edit]

I added this bit of historical information to give substance to a page that otherwise has little information about Moffitsville other than its location. Many people in the North Country agree that the best heavy equipment operator lives in Moffitsville 2600:6C64:727F:C9F0:D520:FD22:402D:7CBE (talk) 01:23, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I appreciate your request for clarification. The issue with your contribution is that Wikipedia articles should be written in a neutral point of view (see Wikipedia:Neutral point of view), as to not state opinions as facts. I would suggest looking through the NPOV tutorial, located here: Wikipedia:NPOV tutorial, as this can give you more information on how to eliminate bias and write neutrally on Wikipedia. Thank you and please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns. MosrodTalk 01:32, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Saranac NY

[edit]

I would like the edit to say "Moffitsville is the birthplace of Shane Bruce, widely considered the best heavy equipment operator in the North Country 24.176.141.234 (talk) 01:35, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, that would not comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy as it contains biased information towards a specific person. Keep in mind that self-promotion (see Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest) is strictly prohibited. To add more information about Moffitsville, I would suggest adding details that do not include specific individuals and businesses. Thanks! MosrodTalk 01:41, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Saranac NY

[edit]

I understand and apologize for the confusion on my part. Can the edit please say "Moffitsville is home to Shane Bruce, a heavy equipment operator who has worked in the North Country for 57 years." 2600:6C64:727F:C9F0:D520:FD22:402D:7CBE (talk) 01:41, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That statement wouldn't adhere to the due and undue weight policy located here: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Neutral_point_of_view#Due_and_undue_weight. Essentially, adding information about individuals that reside/work in a place would give undue weight to minority aspects of this article. In other words, you could think of it as the following dilemma: if we mention heavy equipment operator "Shane Bruce," then would we also have to mention all of the other workers in Moffitsville? Why are we given specific weight towards an individual compared to another individual/aspect of Moffitsville. Let me know if you have any further concerns. MosrodTalk 01:55, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Saranac NY

[edit]

The reason that I would mention him is that he is considered a "Notable Person" in this area. No, I don't think everyone that works in Moffitsville should be mentioned. Mr. Bruce is a renowned heavy equipment operator that has been working in the area for 57 years. I know this because I have lived in this area my entire life. The page does not have a notable people section and has little substance. I was simply trying to give it more substance with a piece of local information. 2600:6C64:727F:C9F0:D520:FD22:402D:7CBE (talk) 02:10, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I would suggest looking at the notability guidelines here: Wikipedia:Notability. Additionally, I would suggest using the Talk page on that article to voice your suggestions for improvement on the article as that would be a better place to discuss this. Thank you, MosrodTalk 02:16, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
