Information icon Hi there! Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to P.O.D. does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! Mlpearc (open channel) 18:41, 19 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What exactly are we talking about? What material did I add to the POD page? Are you talking about the amount of studio albums? You show them on the main POD page. You only have to count. There are shown clearly, 2 independent albums, as per the article, and seven others. I simply corrected a number that was wrong.

(talk page stalker) Wikipedia needs to be wp:verifiable. Adding references is how we ensure that content is correct. Without references, there is no presumption of accuracy. Please wp:cite wp:reliable sources (RS). You changed "six" to "seven" without adding an edit summary (ES) or a citation. If the seventh is covered in the existing citation, state so in the ES. Otherwise there is no way to vet the change you made without a lot of work. This is also known as WP:PROVEIT. Unsourced content may be removed.
BTW: this is your talk page. Other editors are unlikely to be reading it. You can get their attention with a wp:ping. For me use {{ping|Jim1138}}, add your comment, and sign it with four tildes "~~~~", and save all of it at the same time with the "Save page" (otherwise it may malfunction). Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Tremonti (band). When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. I don't mind you wanting to ignore template:Infobox musical artist#associated_acts: "The following uses of this field should be avoided...Groups with only one member in common", but you also removed two {{tl:citation needed}} templates and the correct application of MOS:HEADING. I have reverted your revert. Discuss at the template or on the band's talk page. If the article for the founder of the band links to all of the bands, it's acceptable, but not the other way around. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Great Divide (Scott Stapp album), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Keyboard. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information icon Hello, I'm TenPoundHammer. Your recent edit to the page Diamond Rio appears to have added incorrect information, so I have removed it for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. The band themselves wrote the book that officially acknowledges their days as the Tennessee River Boys. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 23:36, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Diamond Rio Edits

[edit]

The band operated contiguously from the time they were called the Grizzly River Boys. Even though none of the Grizzly River Boys members are in the current lineup, it was still a contiguously operating band from 1982. All of this is supported by the "Beautiful Mess" book cited in the article, which the band themselves wrote. I own the book, and everything I read in it treats the Grizzly River Boys as being the same band as Diamond Rio. So the 1982 date is correct.

Also, the source you linked says "None of us were in this band when it was first founded." Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 15:53, 11 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
