A belated welcome

Hi, NDresser. You somehow slipped through my Longy net and I realize I hadn't posted my traditional greeting to you. Anyhow, here it is...

Hi and welcome to Wikipedia! I've written some advice for past students in your class at Longy School of Music which you might find helpful. You'll find it here. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page (User talk:Voceditenore), or place {{helpme}} here on your talk page, ask your question, and another editor will come along to help. You might also be interested in WikiProject Classical music, WikiProject Composers, and WikiProject Opera. They have various guidelines for articles in this area and talk pages where you can ask advice from editors experienced in writing articles on classical music and related subjects. You'll find these guides particularly useful: WikiProject Composers: Guide to online research and WikiProject Composers: Copyright guidelines. Happy editing and best wishes, Voceditenore (talk) 17:11, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, me again. It looks like a bit of a tangle here as you pasted this existing article into your sandbox and then started working on improving or adding sections. It shouldn't have been moved to Articles for creation (AfC). The person who moved it probably didn't realize what you had done and why. Especially since you had added a template asking for a review. Reviews and AfC are only used for the creation of completely new articles, not for improving existing ones. Instead, I suggest you copy the section you wanted to add (Venues and Performance Locations) to User:NDresser/sandbox and work on it there before trying to re-add it to 21st-century classical music. Some advice... that article is watched by two very experienced and knowledgeable editors Jerome Kohl and Antandrus, who will revert material which appears inappropriate, promotional and/or is not well referenced. Also make sure you use links to existing Wikipedia articles so you don't "re-invent the wheel", e.g. (Le) Poisson Rouge and make sure that you use really high quality independent sources. Best wishes, Voceditenore (talk) 17:42, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello NDresser. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "21st-century classical music".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/21st-century classical music}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. —Anne Delong (talk) 04:20, 17 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
