Admin

[edit]

WP:RFA Anyone can be an admin, but you have to prove that you're a reliable member of the community. It would be easier to 1.) ask for simpler access levels (e.g. rollback) and then 2.) participate in community discussions (e.g. WP:CFD/WP:AFD.) Once you show that you can be trusted with these tools and that you're engaged in the community, then you would make an excellent candidate to be an admin. Write some articles, help with cleaning up and maintenance, get involved with discussions, etc. Do a little bit of everything. —Justin (koavf)TCM 21:58, 7 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Also I've been editing here for over seven years and have over a million edits and I'm not an admin. I probably could be, but it's just never happened for me. It could happen for you over a period of just six months if you show yourself to be trusted and constructive. —Justin (koavf)TCM 21:59, 7 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Southern Football League, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Leamington and Burnham (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information icon Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Wigan Athletic F.C. without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry: I restored the removed content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Mattythewhite (talk) 20:39, 14 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Qed237. I noticed that you made a change to an article, 2014–15 Football League Championship, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. I thought it would be ok since they technically got promoted today, but no worries --N64dude (talk) 21:17, 27 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

[edit]

Hello, N64dude. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
