Aloe petricola

[edit]

I came across your article on Aloe petricola, which is a useful addition to Wikipedia. A couple of points:

  • It needs referencing: where did you get your information from? If you're not sure how to add a reference properly, just let me know the source, and I'll add it to the article. You can leave a message for me at User_talk:Peter_coxhead.
  • You should add at least one 'category' to a new article, by putting [[Category:...]] at the bottom of the article. For species, in many cases the best categorization is the name of the genus and species with a "|" between them, i.e. [[Category:Aloe|petricola]]

We need more plant editors, so welcome! Peter coxhead (talk) 06:45, 23 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

How often to add a wikilink is sometimes a tricky question. WP:REPEATLINK says "In general, link only the first occurrence of an item." I personally sometimes link the first occurrence of major items in each section, which I think can be useful. I think you've probably added too many links to "Aloe" in the Aloe petricola article to be consistent with Wikipedia guidelines. Peter coxhead (talk) 19:55, 23 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
