LeToya

[edit]

Please stop vandalising LeToya's page and get a life. thank you. What might not be important for you is for others. Sincerely. Capitol Records. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.84.182.78 (talkcontribs)

INCOTW

[edit]

You voted for Indian American, this week's Indian Colloboration of the Week. Please come and help it become a featured-standard article. - Ganeshk (talk) 05:39, 30 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nelly

[edit]

You did a great job on the Nelly Furtado article. You might want to submit it to become a "Good" or "Featured" article. 68.85.185.223 09:50, 14 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mariah Carey

[edit]

for the record, kid, what we have here is called a "content dispute", not "vandalism." vandalism would be posting lewd or unrelated content into the article. i have not done that. i simply disagree this woman is "african-american."

you've got a lot of free time on your hands. do some research on what constitutes vandalism on Wikipedia before you come at someone else. Drmagic 17:25, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

lack of knowledge about race? peep my user page. i AM african-american. *LOL*

nonetheless i won't disturb the page anymore. you've made your point. Drmagic 17:42, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert an article to a previous version more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you. (I've also left this message at Drmagic's talk page; additionally, please discuss the issue at Talk:Mariah Carey.) Extraordinary Machine 19:55, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Beyonce

[edit]

Why did you redirected the "List of Beyonce songs" to her discography. It doesn't not need to be part of that. I work hard on that page and you remove it. I will have to something about this. User:Charmed36 19 June 2006

I am a big Beyoncé fan and I can't add information because someone who thinks he or she is better deletes it. Mariah Carey has articles like this. If you want to redirected it then don't. Add the information to the discography. User:Charmed36 19 June 2006

Ciara

[edit]

Are you watching me? Because you are changing everthing I do. Someone took the 1, 2 Step remixes away. Was it you? I can't work on Beyonce's articles and I'm a fan. Now, I can't work on Ciara's articles and I'm a fan. What is going on? Charmed36 21 June 2006

So who removed the remix list that I had at the bottom of the article? Charmed36 21 June 2006

LeToya Luckett

[edit]

Hey hey.... I decided to be bold and clean up that article, including removing all the unneeded Destiny's Child crap. I'm ready for an attack from all angles... just figured I'd let you know in case you also wanted to keep an eye on this. So..... heads up! See ya later  :-) -- eo 17:51, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Don't know if this will actually do anything, but figured you may be interested in this. -- eo 16:37, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

More on the LeToya phenomenon

[edit]

I don't worry about it too much - Users like this eventually have no choice but to move on because there are too many people who are involved with this project who want to keep articles up to an encyclopedia standard. Personally I'm neither here nor there with regard to LeToya or Destiny's Child, I just want things to be formatted correctly and look professional, as you stated. The comment left on Letoyabrigade's page is not going to help their cause, especially if it blatantly disregards WP's policies. If you follow some of the links leading to comments the Copman person left on people's User Talk pages, (s)he was saying something about how you and I must be part of some DC3/Knowles conspiracy against LeToya. At least I'm able to get a good laugh out of some of this. Quite frankly I think its all the work of one very bored person with multiple accounts, but whatever. Keep up the good work... you're a quality editor, I have your back on this. eo-- 06:50, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

can you calm down eo. you already done your job now. thanks. u can add the 2 notes you want on the bottom but dont change the form of the table chart. (i would've done it but i dont know how).--Letoyabrigade 23:19, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A compromise  :)

[edit]

Howdy! Looks like we've come to a compromise on LeToya.... Letoyabrigade and I had a discussion on the Talk Page, and with the help of a third editor the charts table was slightly modified to keep the small "notes" section on the bottom that was there before. The link to DC's awards is still there and as of now there is one award listed below it, for "Say My Name". Seems pretty fair to me... so just thought I'd let you know so that in the future you don't remove it by accident. Of course you can add more to the discussion if you want.... but just thought I'd let you know where we are on this one. Later!..... -- eo 19:34, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rihanna

[edit]

Thank you for removing the other fansites on the Rihanna page. I see that as a fair compromise to the Rihanna Pictures site not being allowed along with them. No further attempts to add the link will be made, so long as other fansites are also not allowed.

Categories for Discussion

[edit]

I noticed you put both the Category:Television channels in the United Kingdom and Category:Defunct British television channels up for renaming. I checked the Categories for Discussion page to find the entry because I wanted to add my opinion to the renames, but there isn't anything on that page. Your suggestion has major implications for a lot of UK categories, articles and the British TV Channels Wikiproject you see. Could you add the articles to the Categories for Discussion page? Thanks. --tgheretford (talk) 07:27, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please refrain from adding copyrighted images to pages such as Ciara without providing the mandatory detailed fair-use rationale justifying their use. Note that no such rationale would allow an album cover to be used solely to depict a particular person, however. --Yamla 17:46, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Category: Marshallites

[edit]

I maintain the articles related to Marshall, Texas, I'm just letting you know that I will be moving Category: Marshallites to Category: People from Marshall, Texas either today or tommorrow. I realize the category was just nominated as one of many, but I thought I'd let you know that this particular category will be moved to the prefered title soon. Thanks. -JCarriker 04:20, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

check it out. it's coming out nicely.--D-Boy 03:51, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stop reverting!

[edit]

When the proper name of a piece of work uses a capitalized "To", then the article should be capitalized. If you read closely, it says that this exception can be made to titles that are "unique". it is the same as YOU wanting your username to not be capitalized, despite Wikipedia guidelines. If you continue to revert all my pages for ridiculous reasons, I will request mediation which will eventually lead to Arbitration. You need to get a life and stop obsessing over things that you're wrong about. Rhythmnation2004 12:27, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Before you respond to the canvassing of the above user, I would urge you to note the ongoing discussion of this subject here. This is not something to be quickly swept under the carpet. Deb 21:07, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Demonyms

[edit]

Hello. Do you think category Category:Muscovites should be renamed to "People from Moscow" or "Natives of Moscow" ? Thanks. - Darwinek 18:16, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Don't be bothered

[edit]
Well and truly deserved!

Hey, I'd just like to say that you shouldn't be bothered by the Rhythmnation2004 situation. In fact, here's a token of appreciation for all your contributions to Wikipedia. Hope you are enjoying the summer! Extraordinary Machine 23:50, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Category:L. Ron Hubbard

[edit]

Hi, I noticed your change to Category:L. Ron Hubbard, with the edit summary "removed cats already present in article". If you check WP:CLS, you'll find that that is actually the way it should be -- the main article for a category, as L. Ron Hubbard is for Category:L. Ron Hubbard, should have in most cases the same set of parent categories. -- Antaeus Feldspar 23:30, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmm. I hadn't been aware of those discussions. I wish that if consensus had been achieved to significantly modify the guidelines at WP:CLS that someone had bothered to note it at WP:CLS... -- Antaeus Feldspar 23:56, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dance/Club music artists

[edit]

I'm planning to break the list of artists down by subcategory: The duos, groups and project acts are going to the new Category:Dance musical groups listing. I also might make some modification with Dance music artists by breaking them down by sub-genre and gender. Robert Moore 22:39, 03 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of a music article

[edit]

I am not sure if the deletion of the article, List of artists who debuted at number one on the Hot 100 was the correct move. This article contained information about these artists and the songs of their's that debuted at number one that the other article did not contain. Please send me a message. A lot of hard work went into the article's construction. --Stardust6000 02:16, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

{subst:image source|Image:Kingofqueens.jpg}} Abu Badali 22:03, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I notice that twice you have reversed the categorisation of this article. Reading it, it reads to me as an article about the release of a single rather than the song itself, it gives chart position etc. I would be grateful if you can explain your viewpoint. I regularly work on the categorisation of articles and really don't like to see articles without a category as it makes them difficult to find through cross referencing. Please, if you take issue with a category, please change it to another that you feel more appropriate, or at least add a nocat tag if you delete the only category it had. Thanks Mallanox 02:44, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for getting back to me. Sorry for my error, I'm sure I've done that before without realising, I'll watch out for that! Mallanox 03:02, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
