Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Muppet00, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, your edit to Sexual fluidity does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Questions page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Below are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 10:34, 22 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Sexual fluidity; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. General Ization Talk 14:20, 23 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sexual Fluidity

[edit]

Honestly, I rarely edit wikipedia because it is so full of trolls who manipulate what the sources say and then try starting a confrontation to get what they want. The thing is, trolls like these do know each other and have leveraged this network to maintain holds over articles despite being completely wrong and their own sources show them wrong. It's basically a form of sealioning, the intent is to get you to waste a large amount of time fighting a troll who knows he's doing wrong so that you slip up and they can start the bans.

I've seen it happen many times, I've pointed out how many referenced articles are only read up to the abstracts and if the person who posted the source actually read the article they'd find their claims of what the article says is completely refuted by the article they referenced. Truth is, the majority of what is on Wikipedia is a mixture of original research, bias, and downright lying. It's only when you're sticking to the heavily guarded STEM articles that the authenticity of Wikipedia is valid. There is much to be said about the inaccuracy of Wikipedia and the blatant violations of nPOV but nothing can be done since it is literally controlled by trolls.

You can never honestly trust Wikipedia to be a good source because of exactly what happened when you legitimately tried to correct an obvious bias in the article (I pointed the very bias out a few months ago and Flyer22 responded by hiding it before you started your fight against bias). The articles that are referenced CLEARLY disagree with the opening statement that sexual orientation cannot change. But if you're a troll you can claim they do and refuse to read them at all ergo they say what you say they say. SomethingUserlike (talk) 02:58, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
