Jalkaura is a village which is situated at the bank of river Gandak. This place is actually more than village, you may call it a smart town.This place is famous for its advancement in civilisation, infrastructure, education, medical service, standard of living, social structures and sports etc. At this time there are half dozen of educational institutions running here, in which some of them are private and other are public. From this point of view Jalkaura is also known as Mini Aligadh. It is about 10 km away from khagaria district headquarter. It has their own railway station named by Olapur. It is on the way of Khagaria - Bakhri main road. On the west of this village river Budhi Gandak is flowing from north to south which makes this village more beautiful place.
