@Discospinster Hello Discospinster,
Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate Wikipedia’s commitment to neutrality and the inclusion of all relevant perspectives. My intention was not to censor the article but to ensure that it adheres to Wikipedia’s standards for verifiability and neutrality.
The inclusion of certain individuals in the list of Mujaddids is highly controversial within the Islamic theological context. For example:
Figures like Mirza Ghulam Ahmad have been declared non-Muslim by a majority of Islamic scholars, supported by rulings such as the 1974 fatwa on the Ahmadiyya community.
Similarly, theological critiques of Abul A'la Maududi, such as those found in his book Pardah and the article “The Problem with Maulana Maududi’s Understanding of the Quran”, challenge his interpretation of Islam.
Instead of removing these names, I propose adding a section detailing these controversies with reliable sources, ensuring the article provides a balanced perspective.
I am happy to work collaboratively to achieve this while respecting Wikipedia’s guidelines. Please let me know how we can proceed.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Best regards,
