Fair Use images on Your User page
Please remove them, see WP:FUC #9. Thanks. feydey 15:34, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Riyadh tv tower.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Riyadh tv tower.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Nivus(talk) 11:12, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
Image Tagging Image:Riyadh airport.jpg
This media may be deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Riyadh airport.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Nivus(talk) 11:15, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
Image in signature
Hi; I noticed that you've added an image to your signature. Please take a look at the signature guidelines at WP:SIG#Images_and_Appearance as to why that is discourgaed. Thanks, --LeflymanTalk 02:35, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
Hello. I noticed you added {{POV}} to Islamofascism. The article was already identified as being of dubious neutrality due to the use of weasel words, so I assume you felt it was compromised in some other way. Would you bring your objections to Talk:Islamofascism so that they can be addressed? Thanks. bcasterline t 06:40, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
Moved Comment
Sorry, man, won't do it again. I was just trying to keep you involved in the discussion, that's all. I didn't remove or modify anything, just figured no one would mind if I consolidated conversations. Nerrolken 22:39, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
- I am sorry but I don't know what are you talking about?! you either have me mistaken with someone else, or you need to give me a subject, what comment are you talking about? what did you move and what won't you do? --mo-- (Talk | #info | ) 02:17, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Image Tagging for Image:AlRajhi Tower.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:AlRajhi Tower.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Vandalism
You added profanities to an anonIP's talk page. I understand that the anonIP made extremely mean and horrible edits, but you could have given him a stronger warning instead of what you did. Please refrain from this type of behaviour again. Khoda hafez -- Basawala 03:45, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
Fair use
I have removed a number of fair use image from your talk page (please see user:ed g2s/Fair use for further explanation). I've also noticed that some of the image you've uploaded are marked has GFDL but do not have any source information. If you have taken these yourself - please say so. ed g2s • talk 20:01, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

- Really? why is Saudi Arabia gonna sue me for using their flag...? thanks for the advice but no thanks, I am good! just like some stuff before you came in--mo-- (Talk | #info | ) 07:12, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- The way ed made that comment seemed very arrogant and rude in my opinion, he could have been nicer about it. Also, I think users should be allowed to use fair use images on their user pages, it doesn't make sense not to allow them. I can understand why they want to keep people from putting up company logos or other copyrighted things, but stopping people from using the flag of a country? That's ridiculous. To put it in my point of view, it's equivalent to the American government suing a random citizen for having an american flag on their lawn. I also hope he's not doing this as an act of 'vandalism' (i use the therm loosely) toward you because of your arguments against him in the talk page of other articles that he's done this to. ArgentiumOutlaw 11:23, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- Err, this has nothing to do with copyright. The image he is using is free as far as I am aware. I was just politely pointing him towards some infromation on images in signatures. If he wants to keep it then I'm not going to stop him. This has nothing to do with our completely serpate discussion. Please at least read what I have linked to before accusing me of something. ed g2s • talk 11:50, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

Removing warnings
Please do not remove warnings from your talk page or replace them with offensive content. Removing warnings from your talk page will not remove them from the page history. - I thought I can do whatever I want with my talkpage? I am not attacking anyone --mo-- (Talk | #info | ) 01:31, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
- No user owns or controls any part of Wikipedia and there are restrictions depending on the type of page of what is allowed. Specifically, the talk page is not yours, it is a page for users to communicate with you; removing warnings from your talk page is considered inappropriate. However, if your talk page becomes cluttered, you may want to archive it. Paul Cyr 01:46, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:Word 2007 Beta2 Sample.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Word 2007 Beta2 Sample.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 04:07, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
Thank you
I just saw the Defender Barnstar you gave me on my user page, it means a lot, and I thank you. I have to admit though, some of my inspiration to keep fighting ignorance on these Lost pages was you. I kept seeing you actively try and make these pages better and constantly trying to fight for common sense and courtesy. It was good to have you as a friend in the fight for better wikipedia pages, and I thank you for that as well. Like myself, you seemed to have slowed down your lost-article edits, and I hope that when this whole ed episode list crap ends, that I'll see you on the battlefield again. You can always count on my opinion and support. ArgentiumOutlaw
- your more then welcome bro :D, well it's the summer and LOST is over, no new info so thats mostly the main reason I don't write anymore, I'll be back on season 3 don't worry ;) --mo-- (Talk | #info | ) 00:31, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
- =) good to hear. ArgentiumOutlaw 05:39, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
