Merry Christmas!
BOZ (talk) is wishing you a Merry Christmas! This greeting (and season) promotes WikiLove and hopefully this note has made your day a little better. Spread the WikiLove by wishing another user a Merry Christmas, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past, a good friend, or just some random person. Don't eat yellow snow!

I'm wishing you a Merry Christmas, because that is what I celebrate. If you don't like Christmas or just don't celebrate it in any of its forms, then please accept a generic "Happy Holidays". If you celebrate no holidays at this time of year, then hopefully you will be satisfied with an even more generic "Season's Greetings". :) BOZ (talk) 01:35, 24 December 2016 (UTC)

Autopatrolled granted
Hi Mtminchi08, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the patroller right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Schwede66 19:43, 22 June 2017 (UTC)

Jann of the Jungle
Hi there! Do you have anything useful to improve the article Jann of the Jungle? BOZ (talk) 00:27, 2 December 2019 (UTC)
- Sorry for the late reply but I was not able to find anything. Marvel: Five Fabulous Decades of the World's Greatest Comics by Les Daniels does not appear to have any mention of this character/series. Marvel Chronicle A Year by Year History only makes a brief mention when discussing the large scale cutbacks in publishing output Atlas Comics went through in the late 1950s. Showalter Fountain
Hey, Mtminchi08. I saw your name in Wikipedia:WikiProject Indiana/Members and noticed that you are an IU alum. I have a draft of Showalter Fountain in one of my sandboxes that I haven't worked on in over 11 years.[2] It was surprising to me back then that an article about it was never created, and it is even more surprising looking back after all this time that one still does not exist. I recall putting a fair amount of work into compiling sources, but I think I just got overwhelmed trying to write up everything. Is this a topic you might be interested in taking over or working on collaboratively? I'm reluctant to let it sit in a draft page indefinitely as I understand drafts may be deleted if they sit untouched for awhile. -Location (talk) 02:38, 12 May 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know about this. I will try to look it over extensively at some point soon but my availability for Wikipedia has been curtailed in recent years by other things.
- Skimming the draft, it looks very good overall. My main initial suggestion would be a slight trimming for readability.
- I haven't visited Bloomington in thirty years so this was a nice trip down memory lane.

Watch those wikilinks closely!
I've been trying to fix various wikilinks and I've noticed that some names are linked to the wrong article. Many comic book writers and artists do not yet have a Wikipedia article but someone with the same name does. This results in some humorous mistakes.
- Fred Burke Midwestern armed robber and prime suspect in the St. Valentine's Day Massacre of 1929. (Thanks to Tenebrae for pointing out this one.) Not the writer of Hyperkind.
- Margaret Clark former mayor of Rosemead, California. Not the co-writer of Shadowline.
- Gary Cohn President and COO of investment banking and securities firm Goldman Sachs. Not the same person as Gary Cohn (comics), the writer/co-creator of Blue Devil and Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld.
- John Forte was a comic book artist who died in 1966. Not to be confused with John Forté of the Fugees.
- Richard Howell Governor of New Jersey from 1794 to 1801. Not to be confused with Richard Howell (comics), the artist of Hawkman and The Vision and the Scarlet Witch.
- Gerry Conway is a comic book and television writer. A few music related articles linked to him rather than to Gerry Conway (musician).
- Ralph Macchio (editor) is a comic book writer and editor and not to be confused with Ralph Macchio who is an actor.
- Roger McKenzie (comics) is a comic book writer and not to be confused with Roger McKenzie who was an English musician.
- Mark Texeira is a comic book artist and not to be confused with Mark Teixeira who is a Major League Baseball player.
- Ghosts (comics) was a comic book series published by DC Comics and not to be confused with ghosts which are a supernatural manifestation
- The Witching Hour (DC Comics) was also a comic book series published by DC Comics. Witching Hour is an album by Ladytron
- A diacritic is required to correctly spell the names of Sergio Aragonés, Ernie Colón, José Delbo, José Luis García-López, Alex Niño, and George Pérez.
One of the funniest errors I've seen on Wikipedia was on the now-deleted Midway City (DC Comics) article. Someone had written, "Assuming the Anglican names Carter and Shiera Hall, they became the museum's new curators". I corrected it to read, "Assuming the anglicised names Carter and Shiera Hall, they became the museum's new curators." The characters anglicised their names - "Anglican" is a religious denomination.
