Notability of Scispace.net
[edit]A tag has been placed on Scispace.net requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Mtdove (talk) 14:08, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Response of author
[edit]Please don't delete this. I am creating this page at the moment. It legitimately comes under wikipedia since it is like make social network service sites that have a page devoted to them with links to many other sites with some similarities. It is not an advert.
- you see, it's just not notable enough. we can't have an article on every web page out there ;) ninety:one 13:39, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
Please just hang on. I am still editing it.
- In future, you may wish to use the 'preview' button in future before saving a half-written article, or make the article here: Special:Mypage/Sandbox first. ninety:one 13:50, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
I have put some stuff up which I hope meets the requirements. If not, I can add more (and probably will, but not this afternoon). I would argue that there is more content here than is found in several of the sites linked from List of social networking websites.
- As reviewing administrator, I think the article probably must be deleted, but I put a tag on it that should hold it for a day or so. But Wikipedia is not intended for promotion of new projects. it has to become notable first; then it gets an article. It needs 3rd party independent reliable published sources, print or online (but not blogs or press releases), See see our Business FAQ. DGG (talk) 15:05, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

St John
[edit]Do you not think it arrogant to write an article about one church and put it on the title St John the Evangelist church? How many other churches are there with this dedication? Indeed just down the road we have St John's College chapel which could take the same title. I have moved the article to St John the Evangelist church, Cambridge. I leave you to fix the incoming links. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:44, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
