2024 Conflict of interest notice with INSEAD

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Mshang852. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. GuardianH (talk) 00:54, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing certain pages (INSEAD) for COI/UPE editing.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Drmies (talk) 16:11, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

have read wikipeida guidelines. Do not have any conflict of interest.

Decline reason:

Given your single-minded and relentless focus on INSEAD, I simply don't believe you have no conflict of interest here. I think it's highly likely you are employed by them, contracted by them, or are a current or prior student. If not, why on earth would you be so single-mindedly focused on that subject area? Yamla (talk) 21:44, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Blocked for sockpuppetry

[edit]
Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Mshang852. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Izno (talk) 19:18, 27 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I wanted to please appeal as I was blocked for creating multiple accounts to edit a page. I created a separate account in order to edit a page that I had previously been blocked on, and I thought it would be ok as long as I do not violate the wp promotion / soapbox rules I had violated before. When I created this new account, I restored previous content that had previously been on the insead page (and has been there for a very long time but has been removed recently). I am happy to declare a conflict of interest if needed, as my son attended a program at the school and I have delved into the history and background of the school. I will only present facts, avoid promotion and source all materials. I want to help make productive edits only, and if I am unblocked I will seek advice on my talk page before any insead edits to avoid damage or disruption. I am also open to simply being not allowed to edit the Insead page indefinitely. Now that I have edited for a bit of time, I know what is acceptable to write and what is not.

Decline reason:

No chance. You set up an illicit sockpuppet account to get around the block on this account. There's no way you believed that was appropriate (or if you did, WP:CIR applies). You are offering to never edit the INSEAD page, but that was already the case. Yamla (talk) 11:42, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Grégoire de Spoelberch has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of notability for this individual.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
