Thank you. I would have found him, but you found him first.--Anthony.bradbury 22:06, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
The Fun Of Editing
The fun of editing has worn thin. I now mess up articles for fun! Sorry old friend! Muahahaha!!! Your user page is first! Oh yeah by the way, I am involved in the Rogeiphone Forever Campaign. Go google Rogeiphone! All the search results are the doings of the Rogeiphone Warriors. of which I am a part. Sorry to turn on you my friend! Dynamictwo-o
- I am very sorry to here that you have decided to start vandalizing Wikipedia. Vandalism is childish, and vandals are normally blocked very quickly. Please reconsider and decide to help Wikipedia. There are so many fun things you could get involved with. If you reconsider and decide to contribute constructively, then please let me know. -Mschel 11:31, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
TeckWiz's RFA
Hey Mschel. Thanks for supporting my unsuccessful RFA this week. I hope to keep helping and improving Wikipedia alongside you. --TeckWiz ParlateContribs@(Lets go Yankees!) 01:35, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
My RFA
Ah, darn. Looks like my RFA didn't succeed. No doubt I'll take another run at it in a few months when my edit count isn't such an issue. Thanks for the vote of confidence. Cheers, Lankybugger ○ Yell ○ 03:03, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
Jeff Rossen
--Eddie5000 02:14, 19 April 2007 (UTC) If you think Jeff Rossen Page is copyrighted, then can you rewrite it for me?
- I would rather not, I really stink at article writing. I suggest you give it a try, even if you make a very low quality article other wikipedians will be glad to fix it up for you. If you get it started then I would be glad to fix it up as well as I can, but I would rather not start it. BTW do you need help nominating the image for speedy deletion? -Mschel 02:20, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
- Okay. Wikipedia delete the page so I added a new Jeff Rossen page... r u from New York City or the Tri-State Area of NYC?
- Well, We did delete it but you made a new version from scratch. I do not think your new version will be deleted. -Mschel 15:17, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

- I will try, but I am not sure if I can fix it up. -Mschel 16:02, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the barnstar
Thank you so much! I almost feel guilty when people award me for doing something I enjoy. I'll accept it anyway. Thanks again LittleOldMe 12:20, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment on my my RfA, which was successful. I learned a lot from the comments, I appreciate everything that was said, and I'll do my best to deserve the community's trust. Thanks again! And thanks for your kind words and support. --Shirahadasha 05:05, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Personal attack
Hey thanks for that...
--Splash15hotel 15:53, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
- Sure! -Mschel 15:55, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
Hey sorry to have to bother you again, but the same culprit has been at it again. According to the administrator page where i reported initially it says he was blocked. But he's still making the comments. It seems somebody else deleted the numerous comments from my page after he posted them. They have been very hurtful comments. Thank you! --Splash15hotel 17:04, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
- He has been blocked for one week, but users who have been blocked can still edit talk pages. My advice would be to revert these attacks when you see them and warn the user on his talk page. Don't let yourself get upset or intimidated, because that is exactly what this user wants. The majority of good Wikipedians who have been here for more then 2 months have received personal attacks. It is nothing to be really concerned about. If you need any more help the do not hesitate to ask me. -Mschel 18:41, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
I would like to Nominate you for Adminship!
Hi Mschel! I am TomasBat, the editor who reviewed you at your editor review some time ago. Well, you had stated in that editor review that you wanted to become and admin here on Wikipedia; I set you some milestones, and you sure have surpassed them! So, I believe that, due to your interest in the fight against vandalism (you are always reverting vandalism, warning and reporting users, etc.) and to your experience with administrative toold (since you are an admin on another wiki) and to your recongnition due to your efforts against vandalism (you have recieved multiple thank-you me messages for reverting vandalism, you always wish to help other users in their fights against vandalism and you have recieved a barnstar for fighting vandalism), you surely might be interested in using the admins tools, which would make your fight against vandalism much easier. So, I would like to nominate you for adminship! Do you accept?
Happy editing, ♠Tom@sBat 23:34, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
- I am deeply grateful for the offer but I recently failed an RFA and I think it would be prudent to not put up another one for a little while. I also feel I have not yet satisfied the main issue raised at my last one (Not much article writing). Do you think you could nominate me in a month or two? Thanks so much for the offer. -Mschel 23:40, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
- Ooops, never knew about that previouse RfA... But, don´t you think you withdrew yourself a bit to soon? (you withdrew yourself after one day plus, the votes weren´t very developed, not to much users got to vote; you didn´t get the chance to here so much opinions on your RfA) Anyways, you may have your reasons and I totally respect them (I suppose that you agreed on what they told you to improve, like you had never thought of those poits before and relly realised that you had to reinforce those points); so, once you feel you´re ready for another try, drop me message and I´ll be more than happy, gratefull, and priviledged to nominate you.
Good luck while you intend to improve and with your continual fight against vandalism... ♠Tom@sBat 00:03, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
PS: Ignore my opinions between brackets () if you wish, since...
- I somehow seem to be a far less experienced user than you, so your reasoning mught be more mature and logical than mines
- It´s your RfA, not mines.
- This is just my personal opinion, which may not necesarrily be the most logical.
- Actually I agree that I withdrew it too soon. I am still sure that it would not have succeeded, but looking back I wish I had left it up a little longer just for the sake of getting more feedback. -Mschel 00:09, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Question I'm new...
Why does everyone have a little welcome message at the top of their user page discussion page? I don't have one and am wondering who I'm suppose to talk to before I start seriously making and editing articles. I am reading all the pages on getting started but am a little confused by all the information. Thanks--Wayne Neptune 23:44, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for asking. The reason that most users have one is because we like to welcome users! And you have one now. You do not need to talk with anyone before you start serious editing, but it would be good to read up on Wikipedias polices. If you have any more questions then please feel free to ask me. -Mschel 02:22, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for dealing with vandalism to my userpage.
Thanks for again fixing up my user page and dealing with vandalism. I agree on the idea of Mootoogs mum being a sockpuppet of noob101, I seem to have severely annoyed noob101 somehow, but I have not yet figured out how. Is there anything that could be done about this?
Thanks, Mootoog 05:11, 28 April 2007 (UTC).
And again, thanks for continuing to protect my talk page from vandalism, it is much appreciated. Mootoog 05:13, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

Hiya,
You recently reverted some vandalism (blanking the page) on Krzysztof Czerwiński. Unfortunately there was an erroneous edit before that as well which you missed which was messing with the infobox. I've fixed it now; can I suggest that you are careful to check the history of vandalism you revert to make sure you are reverting to a 'clean version'?
Best wishes,
–MDCollins (talk) 22:04, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
- I always check the diff before the vandalism I reverted. This was multiple revisions back. It was User:Mathfan's fault, not mine. -Mschel 22:16, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

Re: Twinkle question
Hi. Thanks for your assistance. I would like to change the use of minor marks, but another respondent mentioned that it may be set that way to ease the strain on Recent Changes. If this is the case, I might stick with it. What do you think? Adrian M. H. 12:35, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- This is a tough problem, nominations for speedy deletion are certainly not minor edits but it would be nice not to flood RC. I turned minor marking off because I think that most RC patrollers still patrol minor edits, but I could be wrong on this. Just my two cents.
If you wish to turn minor marking of speedy nominations off then add the following to your monobook, right under the rest of the TWINKLE code:
TwinkleConfig = { markSpeedyPagesAsMinor : false, };
-Mschel 12:57, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

A question for you!
I see you are an Admin? I am trying to find out what to do about an anonymous user who has been warned a number of times about vandalising, yet continues to do so, despite the warnings? The user is - User talk:75.68.220.182, and I have just again had to remove yet more vandalism from them on the Tibet page. They have had the "final warning", and I presume that only Admins can block uers? thanks ♦Tangerines BFC ♦·Talk 19:55, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- I am actually not an admin, but I can still tell you how to get vandals blocked. First of all make sure that the user has received a recent final warning before he vandalized again, the one in question has not, he has only received a third level warning. If the user has had a recent final warning then report him to the AIV, an admin will then look it over and if appropriate, block the user.. If you need help reporting to the AIV then ask me. -Mschel 20:07, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
Richard Hell
There is a discussion page for Richard Hell on which I posted reasons for my changes. Don't just revert wholesale. If you feel one version is preferable, give details, point by point, on the discussion page; reverting my changes right after I made them felt abusive to me, especially as I put thought and discussion into it.209.244.43.230 04:16, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
- I think that ther were way to many problems with your version for it to be there. But if you revert my edit then I will not revert it back, I always try to follow a one revert rule. -Mschel 04:20, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

- I was looking for that revert page and couldn't find it then for some reason after so many clicks found your page via the Wikipedia:Help desk. I was actually just about to go to bed and going to leave the vandalized page alone but I can't stand seeing a page in that sort of condition. Oh, and thanks for the welcome. Your editor review
I added a few comments to your editor review page - please tell me if my suggestions are helpful or not. Happy editing! +A.0u 21:01, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you so much! I really appreciate all the feedback I can get. The problem I have with article writing is that I am not a good writer. What would you suggest I do? -Mschel 22:11, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
- It's not just about article writing. There's an ever-growing (and somewhat daunting) backlog that needs to be cleared...sometimes even seemingly minor contributions such as wikification or spelling checks are useful. As for me, whenever I revert vandalism to an article I try at least make one other edit to improve it. +A.0u 05:21, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
Thanks
Hey Michael, thanks for the kind message on my talkpage. I've taken down the message on my userpage because I don't want to look like I'm seeking attention, but I'll continue to be only semi-active for some time. Just work on backlogs, things like that. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is - thanks for your kindness in my time of need! You're a good friend :) Take care, dear. – Rianaऋ 05:21, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Copyright My_mb.jpg
I found that picture on my computer, I downloaded it about 3 years ago to have a picture of my computer's motherboard. I don't remember when I got the image but I know it's a MSI - MS-6570 (K7N2). I actually uploaded the picture because I was trying to figure out how to delete pictures. I don't think I have the authority to do so however. I also uploaded the photo Les_miles.jpg which may be in copyright infringement. If you could, please delete that photo as I've already removed it from the article. I'm still awaiting permission from the photographer before I upload another photograph. Thanks alot. Job 04:51, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

- Well, got to Special:Recentchanges, click "Hide logged in users", you should see a list of recent edits. Click "diff" by one of them if the new revision is vandalism then click "Edit" next to the last good version. Then add an edit summary along the lines of "RV Vandalism", and save the page. Once you have done that, come back here and I will tell you how to warn the vandal. --Mschel 12:23, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Done! Man... Can't believe that there are SOOOO many people fighting vandalism at the same time!!!!! Many pages I tried checking had already been reverted to previous edits. Other pages which I was about to revert got reverted while I was reviewing the page history... Finally found some vandalism on Fat which I reverted. Hope I did the right thing... Ajcfreak 13:15, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
- Good job! Now I will tell you about a toll to make it easy. It is called TWINKLE. To add it go to your monobook and add the following to it.
importScript('User:AzaToth/twinkle.js');
- Then clear your cache. When you go to a diff next it will have a thing that says "Rollback" above it. To revert a vandalism just click "Rollback Vandal" and it will revert. Try it out, tell me what you think. --Mschel 13:22, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
- Seems to be a good tool - but there must be something wrong that I'm doing. I now have the 'Restore this version' link above the version on my left and three Rollback options above the revision shown on the right - [rollback (AGF)] || [rollback] || [rollback (VANDAL)]. However, I've tried both the "restore this version" link AND the "rollback (VANDAL)" link - Nothing happens. Tried it on quite a few pages. IE returns an error at the bottom "Error on page"........ Confused. Also, could you check my monobook.js thingy and tell me whether what I've done is what should be done? Thanks a ton! Ajcfreak 14:31, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
- I also see on your talk page that you've got additional coding to make the entire thingy a full-fledged JAVA program. Should I do the same? I'm sorry - I'm feeling like a total misfit here! I dunno anythin about this part at all. Pls help!!!! Sorry if I'm being a pain... (Although I like reverting Vandal edits that I'm proceeding with doing that without the help of the tool!!!) Ajcfreak 15:01, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
- Your doing great! Don't get frustrated, I had to go to the house of one of my adoptees and fix his computer, so your not actually doing that bad. Did you try clearing your browsers cache? The other code in my monobook is not related, you can ignore it. Do you have Java installed? --Mschel 15:18, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
- Man, you are encouraging. Yes, Java is installed. And I've cleared my entire cache - cookies, webpages... :) And there wouldn't be anyways that u cud fly out to India and clear it, would der??? :D Anyways, any recollection on how the error on that other adoptee's comp was resolved? Thanks! Ajcfreak 16:05, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

OK, you've got TWINKLE. Now I will tell you how to warn vandals. When you click ROLLBACK it should be opening a new window or a new tab with the talk page of the vandal. You should see a strip of tabs near the top of the page. To warn a vandal you hover your mouse over one of the tabs, a menu should pop up. The tabs are labeled by the level of warning that they will produce. Level 1 assumes that the user is in good faith. Level two does not assume the user is in good or bad faith. Level three assumes the user is in bad faith. Level 4 is a final warning. In the menu you will see many different options, such as "vandalism" and "page blanking, removal". You want to click the option that is most relevant to the vandalism you reverted. "Vandalism" is just for regular vandalism, such as adding "JAMES STINKS!!!!!!!!!!" to a page. "Page blanking, removal" is for vandalism where the user removed a large amount of material from a page. "editing tests" is for when you think the user was just trying to find out if he could really edit the page or what would happen when he did etc. There are many others, if you think one may be more relevant then just click it and show a preview to make sure it is what you think it is. Firefox may block pop-ups, if it is then in Firefox go to "Edit" click "Preferences" at the top of the window that pops up click the button that says "Content", you should see something that says "Block pop-up windows" on the right of that there will be a button that says "exceptions", click it, a window will pop up, type in the textbox in that window "wiki.riteme.site"and press allow. That should fix it. --Mschel 14:43, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- Ummm... Help, please. I reverted a page which had been cleared by an unknown IP. I didn't realise that it was his own unknown IP's Talk page which he had blanked. You may find the history of that page here - [3] But when I selected a template to warn him, only my template went onto his page - all the previous warnings got deleted. How to avoid this error in the future?
Btw, thanks for the tip about allowing popups. I had to do that to get the subsequent "warn vandals" templates.... :) Ajcfreak 15:08, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- What happened is that when you revert an edit made by a user to his own talk page his talk page loads in a new windows before the changes have been saved, that way it loaded the version before yours, so when you saved the page all it had was the new warning. Sorry, that was really cryptic, just tell me if you did not understand it. By the way, you might not want to revert blanking users do to their own talk pages, although removing warnings from ones own talk page is strongly discouraged, it is not forbidden. --Mschel 15:17, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- Understood it perfectly. Thanks a ton for taking the time out! Anyways, truth of the matter is that I didn't realise it was his talk page until I'd done the revert... :D Feel a lil sheepish about that. Anyways, guess I'm learning.... Thanks. Will keep at this. Ajcfreak 15:21, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- One more Q. Each page that I de-vandalise gets onto my Watchlist. Any code that I could modify in my monobook.js to NOT have this happen? Ajcfreak 16:03, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- Add the following to your monobook.
TwinkleConfig = { revertMaxRevisions : 50, userTalkPageMode : 'window', showSharedIPNotice : false, openTalkPage : [ 'agf', 'norm', 'vand' ], openTalkPageOnAutoRevert : true, openAOLAnonTalkPage : true, summaryAd : "", deletionSummaryAd : "", protectionSummaryAd : "", watchSpeedyPages : [ 'g3', 'g5', 'g10', 'g11', 'g12' ], watchProdPages : true, openUserTalkPageOnSpeedyDelete : [ 'g1', 'g2', 'g10', 'g11', 'g12', 'a1', 'a7', 'i3', 'i4', 'i5', 'i6', 'i7', 'u3', 't1' ], watchRevertedPages : [ ], markRevertedPagesAsMinor : [ ], deleteTalkPageOnDelete : false, markWarningsAsMinor : false, markAIVReportAsMinor : false, markSpeedyPagesAsMinor : false, markProdPagesAsMinor : false, confirmUsernameToAIV : true };
This will also change a bunch of other settings. (I just took this out of my own monobook) --Mschel 16:09, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hey! Everythin's workin great! I'm havin tonnes of fun knockin those vandals right outta the park. Its real real fun. So what next, my most excellent adopter? aJCfreak yAkBAk 14:21, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
New Pages
I think I will tell you how to patrol new pages. First you go to Special:Newpages, you will see a list of recently created pages. Got to one of them. If the page meets the criteria for speedy deletion then click the TWINKLE tab that says "db(csd)", a list will come up. Click the circle by the appropriate criteria for speedy deletion, be careful, as soon as you click it, it will nominate it. Got to the creators talk page, if the user has not created an inappropriate page before then go to the page you nominated for deletion and copy the thing that the speedy deletion template suggests you put on the creators talk page, then paste it on to the user talk page. If the user has created other inappropriate pages then give him a "creation" warning from the TWINKLE warn tab. --Mschel 14:53, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hey check it out - I placed the CSD template on Sapzblog and warned the author at User_talk:Javabite. Chk it out and temme yer comments. Btw, this dialogue has become too huge to be maintained in one main heading, so created the sub. Probly should've done that ages ago! :) aJCfreak yAkBAk 15:18, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- Good job! You did that just right. As far as headings go, next time you have a question that is not related to anything in this section you can just make a new subject at the bottom of my talk page. --Mschel 15:22, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Adoption
Certainly. Of course you can adopt me, I would be delighted if you did. Telcourbanio 21:19, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- Sweet! You can ask questions on my talk page, email, or IRC. --Mschel 21:24, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
Sorry, I don't use Email or IRC yet; but I will be sure to in future times. I will need to set up a new email account first. :). Telcourbanio 21:27, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thats fine. Questions sent to me by email may be answered faster, but I do not care how you contact me, it's up to you. --Mschel 21:29, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi. I was just wondering, are you a wikipedia sysop? And whats a wikipedia barnstar? Telcourbanio 14:45, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Oh hi, I've just put in my Email address. (Just making my userpages, signature, and stuff to make wikipedia at home for me). You can always email me now for private dicussions and I will reply as fast as you leave a message on my talk page thanks. Telcourbanio Care for a talk? 15:57, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry for the late reply, I am not a sysop on Wikipedia although I am on another wiki. A barnstar is just a way to recognize a Wikipedians hard work. --Mschel 20:42, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Oh, is that the monobook thingy? Well I could easily create a copy from yours? couldn't I, or use a simpler tool. Because the "Undo" tool is really a pain. Thank you for the offer. Telcourbanio Care for a talk? 21:16, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Hey, I installed popups, they should work. :). Telcourbanio Care for a talk? 21:21, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
- OK, thats fine. I prefer TWINKLE but whatever you want is fine. --Mschel 21:28, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
RfA thanks
Hi Mark, thanks for your support in my RfA, which passed unopposed. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance. --Seattle Skier (talk) 19:37, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
Question
How do wikipedians become sysops? Telcourbanio Care for a talk? 21:17, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- They make a request at the Wikipedia:Requests for adminship. You do not want to try yet, most users who comment at the RFA will wish to see a very large amount of experience. It would be a good idea to wait until you get around 3000 edit. But don't get discouraged by that number, I have only been really editing for the past 3 months and I already have over 5000 edits. Also, whether you succeed or not is not decided by your edit count, it is mainly decided by whether or not you you need the tools, show enough experience with policy, and if you can be trusted. You just need to have a somewhat high edit count to be able to prove that you meet up with these criteria. --Mschel 22:22, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
Many Thanks:
Thanks for signing the petition for me to return from my Wikibreak/Retirement. It was unexpected & I appreciate your kind words. I'm planning to stay away from conflict for a bit, so don't expect to see me around any talk pages etc. Anyway, thanks again for being there. :) Spawn Man 23:42, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
um....fo sho
it actually was my intention. i wanted to vandalize that page. always remember, work hard fly right.--68.192.27.4 01:34, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- I was assuming good faith. I was wrong. Please stop vandalizing Wikipedia, if you do not you will be blocked from editing. --Mschel 01:37, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
Thanks

Advise, please
While RC patrolling today, I came across the AIIMS, (a top medical Institute in India) article which had major chunks of possibly damaging/controversial material removed by an anon IP 210.7.93.119. I reverted the edit and then realised that much of the deleted content was actually unverifiable and sounded like a personal commentary on a raging issue. I reformatted the citations and commenting out REALLY harmful, unverifiable stuff. Now the user of the anon IP has left a message [4]. And I've replied to that user [5]. I've also written about this to Riana asking for her advise. I'm asking you as your adoptee (sounds funky - that line!) - is there anything that I could've done better? Apparently, this could be a person who has edited that article in Good Faith. What to do? Shall I just sit around and wait for his next reply/move? Any help, would be much appreciated. aJCfreak yAkBAk 18:58, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- Riana is much more experienced then I am, so go with her call. You also might want to strike out the warning that you left on the users talk page. Don't remove it, just strike it out. --Mschel 23:27, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. I was wondering how to revert my warning on his page. I didn't realise the possibility of striking it out - was about to blank it out. Thanks for the tip. You're great. I'll go through the extensive list of points stated by that user and see what I can do to the article. Thanks, man. Am I glad I'm adopted or what??? aJCfreak yAkBaK 09:28, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi
Hi is there a place where I can get a full directory of warning templates to place on user talk pages? Telcourbanio Care for a talk? 15:32, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
