Davey Foster

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Davey Foster, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Fan-1967 16:20, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles, as you did with Davey Foster. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:

  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Fan-1967 16:25, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your userpage

[edit]

Could you please read WP:USERPAGE? Your userpage is currently inappropriate. If you feel your band deserves an article, then you are free to write one in the article namespace, but not on your userpage. -Amarkov blahedits 23:15, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've given the article a quick once over to make it a bit more encyclopaedic. and to avoid the attentions of WP:AUTO Try and get a couple of sources into it if you can, NME, local or national newspaper etc. If you want any help with editing just ask. - X201 14:28, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your help, much appreciated. I cant seem to find how to edit the first paragraph of the band it should say Stuart Browne on drums, not Leon Parr. But thanks again for your help.

Judging by the page edit you've obviously sussed that one out. Just one additional thing, on talk pages make sure you sign your posts by adding ~~~~ to the end of anything you have said, they'll automatically be turned into your name and the date/time you added the comments.WP:SIG has got the full explanation. If you need any help just ask. - X201 20:41, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The file File:Daveyfoz.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Orphaned image with no foreseeable encyclopedic use.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
