personal attacks

[edit]

In regard to your edits in User talk:Lulu of the Lotus-Eaters and Talk:David Mertz, I would ask that you review wikipedia's policy on personal attacks. Thanks. --rogerd 01:43, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have reviewed the policy, and I didn't mean to make a personal attack. I was just being truthful. Mr Spunky Toffee 02:11, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Aryan path

[edit]

So how exactly does the article on The Aryan Path "sound like lies"? Lies about what exactly? Don't you think you could have spent a minute or so checking the facts by a quick glimpse on google before making such offensive comments? Paul B 11:46, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

{{prod}} on ZAVNOCG

[edit]

I expanded ZAVNOCG and sourced it. I think it doesn't deserve the {{prod}} any more, so I removed it. --Dijxtra 14:04, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Church of Misery

[edit]

Why did you list Church of Misery for speedy deletion? It satisfies WP:MUSIC as follows:

Has released two or more albums on a major label or one of the more important indie labels (i.e. an independent label with a history of more than a few years and a roster of performers, many of which are notable).

I did assert this on the page, so please delist this article at once. --Eastlaw 06:42, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's your responsibility to fix the article, not mine. Go fix it. Mr Spunky Toffee 06:43, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Um, hello? Please go back and read what I wrote. There is no reason to speedy this page. Thanks for assuming good faith, buddy. And in the future, if you want to contact my, use my talk page. --Eastlaw 06:46, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not interested in you or your page. Thank you. Mr Spunky Toffee 06:48, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the prod tag from this stub. It meets WP:MUSIC.--Dakota 06:50, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What is your problem?

[edit]

I have established notability for Church of Misery Idon't know who you are, but if you persist I will take this to Wikipedia:Requests for mediation. Your behavior is childish and highly inappropriate. --Eastlaw 06:55, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Go and take it there, but it isn't the right venue. Don't make enemies. People plugging their bands are a dime a dozen. Mr Spunky Toffee 06:57, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's not "my band", smart guy. In fact, they are not from my country and I don't know them personally. Don't get pissed off at me if you haven't heard of them. I established the proper criteria, and now I will take this to an administrator. And like I said, if you want to talk to me, use my talk page. --Eastlaw 07:02, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Take it to an administrator. I am just doing my job, doing cleanup. I'm not pissed off at you because I haven't heard of them. I'm pissed off at you for bugging me and acting like I should care. I'm not going to use your talk page, no matter how big a virtual stick you shake. Please, leave me alone. Mr Spunky Toffee 07:05, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You aren't doing your job, you are ignoring the rules. I established notability, and now you are simply netcopping. You say "don't make enemies"? Try following your own advice. --Eastlaw 07:09, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You are too excited about this. It makes me happy that I have made you angry. Your Japanese band is so very minor, it doesn't make sense that you should fight for them. Perhaps you are insane. No matter. None of it matters. Mr Spunky Toffee 07:14, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on the contributor; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks may lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. --Dakota

I made no personal attack. I maintain that that is the truth. I held back admirably in the face of a belligerent fanboy who wanted to publicize his favorite band. I don't appreciate the interference when I am trying to help. Mr Spunky Toffee 07:19, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

They are not my "favorite band", I was writing the article for Wikipedia:WikiProject Metal. I have done nothing wrong here, I just don't like seeing my work deleted without good reason. You are being quite childish. --Eastlaw 07:21, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Go away. Mr Spunky Toffee 07:22, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Feces image debate

[edit]

I suggest you have a look at the talk pages [1] [2] for the feces and human feces articles before unilaterally removing content. Take my word for it - there has been plenty of healthy debate on this issue and it appears to have been resolved. The image was also proposed for deletion and a clear consensus emerged to keep it [3]. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks. Cacetudo 09:34, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I see, my bad. Congratulations on making your turd famous by getting it in Wikipedia! Mr Spunky Toffee 23:17, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. You and I are the only editors on Peter Horan, besides its author. I saw he claimed notability in his field, and a CD release, which may not qualify under CSD A7. The author went to {{hangon}}, and claims he's notable. I was wondering if you'd be adverse to removing the speedy tag and nominating the article through the AfD process. If not, please do, or let me know and I will. I think, given the situation, it should be exposed to the full process. (I honestly don't know if the guy is notable or not. I'm not qualified. That's a situation where going to AfD makes sense to me.) If you'd rather, you can let the issue drop, and keep the article, but I think it should be pulled out of speedy. I just wanted to check with you before doing anything. AubreyEllenShomo 00:25, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Message received. Since it's already tagged, and there's still no significant assertion of notability, I suggest waiting for an admin to take care of it. If the administrator does not speedily delete it, then further action like taking it to AfD would be appropriate. Thanks, and have a good day! Mr Spunky Toffee 00:31, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I believe you are mistaken, sir.

[edit]

I've been around this crazy internet for a while and, believe me, it's rare that any males find my height attractive. (For the record, I'm 6'4".) But, um, thanks?

As for the article, the longevity of the performer's career is what tipped me over: I'm fairly inclined to allow an article on a folk musician who's been performing for three decades. Most of the musicians whose articles I delete haven't been alive for that long. Anyway, it's nice to have some positive feedback once in a while, so thank you! -- Merope 14:38, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

jargon and crystal balls

[edit]

Yeah. I tend to despise jargon, especially since I am not all that old of an editor and the jargon confused me to no end my first few weeks. It has it's place in discussions with those who understand it, but it probably annoys the newbies a bit.Natalie 22:19, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Latrinalia

[edit]

Your efforts in improving Wikipedia are appreciated. However, talk pages are only for discussion about the main article, not for general chat. Please do not use talk pages for general discussion, as you did on the Talk:Latrinalia page. Thank you. —Psychonaut 08:09, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your boilerplate message. I had already noticed that somebody had removed what I wrote, insulting me by calling it "vandalism." Mr Spunky Toffee 21:55, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Don't take it too harshly; I'm sure Merope didn't mean to insult you. You should just know that talk pages are for helping create articles, not for chatter. Any message posted to a talk page which isn't directed towards improving the article is a waste of time for those editors who have that article on their watch list. —Psychonaut 23:01, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I should know? Well, I do actually, but thanks for taking the time to talk down to me, big brother! Mr Spunky Toffee 04:14, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
