Ways to improve The Listing

[edit]

Hi, I'm Davidwr. MovieWatcher33, thanks for creating The Listing!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Pre-release film with no indication that the production itself is notable.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Hello, MovieWatcher33. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, The Listing, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

January 2017

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions are appreciated, but, in this edit to The Listing, you removed Articles for deletion notices from articles or removed other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates. This makes it difficult to establish consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Drewmutt (talk) 04:01, 14 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Drewmutt: In the edit you cite, he removed the "dated prod" template which I placed on the page. This is entirely within his right to do so. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 04:37, 14 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Davidwr: My apologies, I didn't see that. Thanks for bringing it my attention. Drewmutt (talk) 04:41, 14 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of The Listing for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article The Listing is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Listing until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 04:43, 14 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

NOW there is an Articles for Deletion template at the top of the page. Please do not remove that template. In a week, when the discusison is over, if there is no consensus to delete the page then an experienced editor who is not involved in the discussion and who has not made any significant contribution to the aritcle will remove the template. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 04:45, 14 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/MikePlant1, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
