Hello Mountain Child. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, such as the edit you made to Draft:Silverback Bikes, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to Black hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Mountain Child. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Mountain Child|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. --Worldbruce (talk) 15:55, 5 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Silverback Bikes

[edit]

Hello Mountain Child,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Silverback Bikes for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Undisclosed paid editing - 2nd notice

[edit]
Information icon

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, such as the edit you made to Draft:Silverback Bikes, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Mountain Child, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Mountain Child|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 15:32, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Undisclosed paid editing - 3rd notice

[edit]

You still have not responded or taken action to the inquiry regarding your appearance as an undisclosed paid editor. If you make any additional edits without complying you may be blocked from editing. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:49, 15 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

HELP

[edit]

Drm310 I am not sure why it looks like paid editing? The article is compiled of facts and each one is linked to an external source? Please guide me? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mountain Child (talkcontribs)

In this edit [1] you stated:

I have been tasked to create a Wikipedia page for our business but have been unsuccessful and I am not sure why. I have kept the articles short, factual and submitted a link which supports each fact to avoid being seen as marketing. All our competitors have pages and I have kept to their format. What am I doing wrong? Are there any suggestions to getting this right.

That sentence indicates that someone is paying you to create article. We have told you - three times - that we need to know what article this is, and who is paying you. Disclosing this information is Wikipedia policy, mandatory and non-negotiable.
If Silverback Bikes is paying you, or you are working for someone on their behalf, you must disclose this with the advised methods already described in the previous notices. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 21:45, 1 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
