Consensus

[edit]

I started Wikipedia:Consensus because I noticed the prominence of the word in other policies without any discussion of its meaning or how to reach it. Hyacinth 05:42, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wanted to thank you for the picture of Guan Yu. It is a superb image from which very minute details can be seen in the photo. That's an unusual quality on wikipedia, and as such, I wanted to thank you for your contributions. ... aa:talk 19:31, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Interview at Wikimania 2011

[edit]

Hi Mountain,

I hope this finds you well.

My name is Matthew Roth and I'm a Storyteller at the Wikimedia Foundation. We're exploring new ways to explain why Wikipedia is so special and we’ve started a Wikipedia Stories Project, where we’re chronicling the inspiring stories of the Wikipedia community, especially editors and active contributors in the movement like you. I enjoyed reading translations (thanks, Google Translate!) of your blog posts. You have a very poetic way of expressing yourself.

I'll be traveling to Wikimania next month to collect stories for our 2011 Fundraiser. While there I'd love the chance to meet with you and hear your thoughts about Wikipedia. We’ll have a schedule of available times for you to sign up if you’re interested, but right now, we’d like to make the initial contact to gauge your interest. Please let me know by emailing me at mroth@wikimedia.org or responding on my talk page.

thank you,

Matthew Roth

Picture permission for book publication

Hi Mountain - I'd like to include your photo of the Late Shang Dynasty Liu Ding (http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Shang_dynasty#mediaviewer/File:Liu_Ding.jpg) in a textbook publication. The image is not covered by the license you have placed on it. Please could you contact me to discuss further? My email address is pictures@hubner.co.uk. I couldn't find your email address on Wikipedia!

Best wishes,
