Slipknot
[edit]Hello :-). If you're a new user, welcome to Wikipedia! Yeah, the Slipknot page does get vandalized quite a bit. How unfortunate, seeing as they're one of today's defenders of the heavy metal faith! If you happen to see any vandalism, feel free to revert it.
Check out the bands that I listen to on my user page: Dark Executioner 17:47, 17 July 2007 (UTC)Dark Executioner
Haha. I wasn't trying to be a "troll" (LOL I'm actually pretty tall), it just makes me angry that the page for one of my favorite bands keeps getting trashed. It'd be the same feeling if they did that to Black Sabbath, Pantera, Children of Bodom, Sepultura, Dying Fetus (which has been vandalized), or Rob Zombie. By the way, do you know when Sepultura is going to tour the United States again? Dark Executioner 14:04, 18 July 2007 (UTC)Dark Executioner

[edit]Because while some of its subgenres (ie. Death/doom, Funeral Doom, etc.) may be Extreme metal genres, Doom metal itself isn't. Inhumer 17:38, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
I know the name pretty much encompasses all the sub genres, but when I hear 'Doom Metal', I think mainly of the "Sabbath-esqe" bands. Inhumer 18:57, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
I understand exactly what you mean. Inhumer 22:47, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
As the comment in the template states, please do not change "heavy metal" to a specific subgenre like "groove metal." Thank you. Nufy8 02:07, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
I am also thinking that the image would fall under fair use, but I am not 100% sure and wanted to be cautious. On a personal note, I hope the two lads survive their injuries, that looks like a terrible accident to have been involved in. DH 04:07, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
