Some small advice
[edit]Hey again! I saw you created Francis Saltus Van Boskerck which is looking great. I just wanted to let you know that when we have consecutive sentences that are attributed to the same source, we typically just use a single citation. For example, instead of:
we should just do
- The cow was large. The cow liked grass.[1]
Sincerely, Ovinus (talk) 01:41, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Ovinus Real: Thanks for the advice, I'll edit it accordingly. You noticed pretty fast, wow. Let me know if you see anything else wrong with it. It's my first article but I felt pretty good about it and I've been definitely seen much worse on Wikipedia. Happy editing!

- I just checked in on your user page and saw you were working on it, so a coincidence I guess. I'm really impressed! The main issue I see is that his dying the day after Semper Paratus's publication is repeated thrice in the article. I would say just mention it once, or maybe twice. Also, "However, despite..." is redundant. Ovinus (talk) 02:14, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Francis Saltus Van Boskerck
[edit]A tag has been placed on Draft:Francis Saltus Van Boskerck requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Francis Saltus Van Boskerck Page already existed
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. - @Jiv arshu: I'm fine with it being deleted. See my reply to the other guy for more explanation.

[edit]- If you would like to continue working on the submission, go to Draft:Francis Saltus Van Boskerck and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window.
- If you now believe the draft cannot meet Wikipedia's standards or do not wish to progress it further, you may request deletion. Please go to Draft:Francis Saltus Van Boskerck, click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window, add "{{Db-g7}}" at the top of the draft text and click the blue "publish changes" button to save this edit.
- If you do not make any further changes to your draft, in 6 months, it will be considered abandoned and may be deleted.
- If you need any assistance, you can ask for help at the Articles for creation help desk, on the reviewer's talk page or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help from experienced editors.
- @Robert McClenon: Sorry about that. I didn't know this would be a problem. I originally was going to leave it as a draft until someone reviewed it but I changed my mind and decided to just put in the Article namespace and I thought I might as well leave the Draft up in case someone wanted to review it anyway. Obviously the draft is now unnecessary and can be deleted but I don't see any reason for the article to be deleted.

Hello, Mossypiglet!
Having an article declined at Articles for Creation can be disappointing. If you are wondering why your article submission was declined, please post a question at the Articles for creation help desk. If you have any other questions about your editing experience, we'd love to help you at the Teahouse, a friendly space on Wikipedia where experienced editors lend a hand to help new editors like yourself! See you there! Robert McClenon (talk) 13:29, 27 September 2020 (UTC)

- User:Mossypiglet - Rather than deleting the draft, I will redirect it to the article. Duplicate creations in draft and article space are of variable quality, some being promotional or non-notable, where the article needs to be deleted, and some being people about whom we should have an article, either a short one, a medium one, or a long one. In the latter case, the draft should be redirected to the article. Your article is one that we should have, so thank you, and the draft will be redirected. Speedy deletion nomination of Hydro Flask
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Hydro Flask, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. DGG ( talk ) 23:36, 5 October 2020 (UTC)
Hola
[edit]I don't think there's a problem, but I just wanted to make sure that you don't feel like I'm stalking you or anything. This page is on my watchlist so I saw the speedy deletion and decided to take a look. If you'd like me to refrain just let me know. Sincerely, Ovinus (talk) 00:36, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Ovinus Real: Haha, I did think it was a little strange but please go ahead! It's always good to have more than one perspective on things. mossypiglet (talk) quote or something 00:40, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
Fixed your user page
[edit]Hi MossyPiglet, I've fixed the layout of the user boxes on your user page. I thought it'd be easier to do it myself than to try and explain how to do it. What I've done (as you can see here): I've put every UBX on its own line, and I've put {{-}} after it. This makes sure that the next box goes on its own line in the visible page.
All your userboxes are now under each other. However, if you want to have them next to each other in a few columns, you could put them in a table instead. For that, just look at Help:Table and just try some things out. Feel free to ask more questions anytime! --rchard2scout (talk) 09:54, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
