re: culpa
Oh, I see that you actually wrote "no evidence"? Think about it, we knew that there is no 911-Iraq-al qaeda link for sometime, yet we "decided" to recognize it only recently… some of us were annoyingly persistent in pursuing that issue, as you may well know. So you see, it's not really about smoke, mirrors, and Bigfoot tracks, it's about recognizing known facts. Well no rush, no fuss and no worries, it won't go away, its way to big for that… imo (and that is from somewhat universally diverse perspective) only good things will come out of it, like butterflies from cocoon… it might get nuclear before it gets better, though. Articles remaining in the red
An article can remain permanently deleted without it being a blue link. Wikipedia:Protected_titles . It means that I'm the last person to have requested deletion of The weather in London. Andjam 03:52, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
- Helpful fact. Curious -- why are you telling me this? MortonDevonshire Yo · 03:56, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
- What kind of "why"? Because I don't want wikipedia to become a triumph of "truth" over fact. Because I noticed a few pages on your list of deleted things seemed to be still "salted" rather than a protected title. Andjam 04:01, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

I'm cool as a cucumber
Thanks for the message. Couldn't you have posted that TMZ pic of Anna Nicole's refrigerator though ? Speaking of pics - In my RFAr, I proposed that you get a 'hat-tip for your ever-useful 'tin' foil hat pic' that I used in playful repartee with my good friend DeanHinnen, and asked for a formal 'second' so you could get some kind of official commendation but none of the stuffed shirts over there would second my motion! I was hoping you'd get a special barnstar from ArbCom!
I'm cool as a cucumber!
"Interestingly, [almost] no one ever seems to say anything like that [on my talk page]...something about my persona generally makes that a risky choice to make."
At least you and I get my humor!
I need your advice my friend.
a) How much time should I allow for WP:DUST before starting an article on this ?
b) Should I name it the Kamil Ministries Islamophobia Contoversy the Enloe High School Zealotry Imbroglio or the Something Else Scandal ? I'm hoping that Arrow740 from Tom's post above will help me! LOL ! Good Cheer Morty! Good Cheer and Good Fun! (I know you'll agree that there's no such thing as 'too much fun'!) Any good AfD's you need my 'help' on? ;-) - FaAfA 01:19, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
Hats
That is a lot of tinfoil hats. Though I must ask, "why?" - no, not what you thought of first, not why you collect wikipedians in tinfoil hats, why.... why are so many of them pointed? Tar7arus 21:42, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
- I have an opinion, but it's one that I would get cited for WP:NPA here. No rules against subtle sarcasm though, are there? Thanks for the barnstar. You seem like the sort of person who may be interested in Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Conspiracy theories and User:Morton devonshire/IlluminatiNoticeboard. Both places are active, but not quite as much as they have been in the past, because most of the blatant cruft has been eliminated through concerted effort. Yet, we continue to fight the good fight of WP:V, WP:RS, WP:NPOV#Undue weight, WP:NPOV, WP:NOR, Non-notable, and my favorite, Wikipedia:Vanispamcruftisement, with respect to 9/11 conspiracy theories and their adherants and advocates. There's a whole Wikipedia-wide effort by the conspiracy theorists to use Wikipedia as a soapbox for these theories -- take a look at the template at the bottom of the 9/11 conspiracy theories page to get an idea of the breadth. Happy hunting! MortonDevonshire Yo · 22:39, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Songs Mrs. Edmunds sings in Bridge to Terabithia (2007 film)?
The major song that Ms Edmunds and the kids sing (it's the one that appears in several scenes) is Steve Earle's "Someday". There is another song earlier on but I can't remember what it was. The kids version of "Someday" is actually quite fun but it isn't available on the soundtrack CD. Cheers! Wassupwestcoast 16:49, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
Mediation for Firestone

One of those POV "stance" categories is up for deletion, probably the result of a BLPN complaint. Check it out. I'm not really canvassing on this, just you and the interested party who complained on BLPN. Feel free to pass it along to the rest of the Secret Chimps. - Crockspot 19:06, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Barbara Schwarz (4th nomination) is up again. I'm dropping this here because I know a lot of people watch your talk page. This article should have been salted three AfD's ago, but for a hardcore group. - Crockspot 18:03, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

- As far as I can tell, Cplot never had any interaction with Mobile 01, so that's unlikely. More likely the other guy, as he's also been fixated on this "corporate shill" notion for some time, and now no longer edits under his old Friend of Communism moniker. Where are we?
A lot has transpired on this discussion so far and I am wondering if we are actually getting anywhere with the mediation. Could the mediator give a response of his opinions of just where we are at and what if any decisions/suggestions/agreements have been agreed so far. Thanks. Mobile 01Talk 22:26, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
- Ive been busy. I'm more interested in your view about where things are at. -Stevertigo 06:20, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
I believe we have decided that the Liberian article ramains seperate and that we do not merge Firestone with Bridgestone. I think we have also covered what is POV and NPOV. I have made some changes to the article last night and today, adding a few images and cleaning up some of the duplicated statements. Please everyone have a look at the current article and offer your opinions. If everyone is happy then we can close this out and let the mediator get on with other issues. Breakfast with Jimbo
I'm having breakfast with Wikipedia founder Jimbo Wales on Monday 23rd April. See Wikipedia:Meetup/Adelaide/Meetup 2, anyone got a question you want me to ask him?

- Yes, ask him for an apology for the Steven E. Jones thing. :) --Tbeatty 05:23, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- No questions, just some advice: Try to hold onto your sanity and steer clear of that whole Wiki-Groupie Jimbo-Gets-a-Blowjob-For-Being-Wiki-Gawd atmosphere at those things. Knowing how innocent you are and all that I wouldn't want you to get your feelings hurt. MortonDevonshire Yo · 02:03, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

Links to and promoting attack sites
Hello, per Wikipedia:Harassment#Types_of_harassment/posting of personal information, links to Wikipedia Review are disallowed. It is an attack site that cannot be linked to, advertised, or promoted, supported by previous ArbCom decisions. I've removed this link and promotion of a hostile site that attacks and attempts to out the IRL identities of Wikipedians from your user page, per this:
"Posting information on, or implying how to find, or simply posting the address of a website which publishes such information is also harassment, regardless of whether the posted link is live or just a bare URL. This is because it places the other person at unjustified and uninvited risk of harm in "the real world" or other media. This applies whether or not the person whose personal information is being revealed is a Wikipedia editor.""
Thanks for your understanding. - Denny (talk) 16:44, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- No problem. I wasn't aware that Wikipedia Review was an attack site, but I'll take your word for it. I thought it was just critical of Wikipedia. MortonDevonshire Yo · 17:52, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- From what I'd learned it has elements that are just critical (which is quite kosher and fine) but there are also threads that actively seek to 'out' the real identities of various admins as a major component of it, to engage in real-life tracking of people that edit here... - Denny (talk) 17:58, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
