Hi, I *am* trying to get more visibility for energy efficiency. The nonprofit Consortium for Energy Efficiency is the way ratepayer funded, public benefit efficiency programs come to agreement on definitions of efficiency for all the energy using opportunities there are out there. In order to get 46 states and 7 provinces to agree, we go through extensive vetting and consideration to establish market initiatives. These initiatives are adopted into efficiency programs and subjected to regulatory scrutiny state-by-state. Public advocates such as NRDC, ACEEE, IEA support our work. We are not consumer facing, we work with ENERGY STAR as our public brand. I believe, and if you look at our work, I think you will agree, that we have an unbiased approach. Energy efficiency brings public benefits such as lower emissions of noxious gases and greenhouse gases, greater grid reliability, improved public health, and lower energy costs both to those who participate in programs and those who don't. Efficiency conserves natural resources. Please allow me to edit pages with appropriate links to Consortium for Energy Efficiency work.

It seems you've misunderstood how Wikipedia works. While energy efficiency is a positive goal, Wikipedia is not a platform for advocacy. Promoting your organization (even in a response to a spam warning) suggests that you may not be here to build an encyclopedia. Managing a conflict of interest
