My edits have been constantly removed without giving proper explanations. Firstly, Meitei was mentioned as one of Tai group of Northeast India in Tai Peoples Wikipedia in 2019 and I don’t know when and why it was removed. I am an established author of the book “The Political Monument: Footfalls of Manipuri History” published in 2021 and the book is catalogued in American Library of Congress, Asian Reading Room, Washington DC. The second chapter of the book is on Meitei Tai origin. There are many sources of Meitei as Tai and in the journal Tai in the world in new Shan script Meitei is mentioned as Tai Moy or Kassay as one of the 83 Tai sub-Tribes in the world mentioned in point no 18. The book by Major Simon Fraser Hannay “Sketch of the Singhpos or the Kakhyens of Burmah” has clearly mentioned Meitei as Tai in the chapter The Shan or Tai Nation. The book by Ney Elias “Introductory History of the Shan” also mentioned Meitei as one of the Tai tribes. The gazetteer of Upper Burma and the Shan States part 1 Vol 1 has mentioned Meitei as Shan. The account of Tai migration in Myanmar by Prof. Sai Aung Tun has mentioned migration of Tai people in Manipur in 600 CE. There are still many accounts on Tai Meitei (Kassay) and my humble request as an researcher, author, writer, columnist and Admin of two Tai Groups namely Tai World Wide Group and International Tai Meitei Kassay Association kindly request you to insert Tai Meitei (Kassay) in the Northeast India Tai Group. If you need any further information pls feel free to write to me and I will send the PDF files of all the Meitei Tai related documents if you want. Thank you !

Regards! Maheshsana Rajkumar (Monty Rajkumar)
