File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:GaliGaliChorHaiFirstLook.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ankit Maity Talkcontribs 07:36, 23 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:JodiBreakersFirstLook.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:JodiBreakersFirstLook.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 09:05, 23 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Problems with upload of File:BloodMoneyPoster.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:BloodMoneyPoster.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

The article Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Film not yet released

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Image Uploads

[edit]

While we certainly appreciate enthusiastic editors at Wikipedia, I am going to ask you to cease uploading images until you are able to better understand Wikipedia's strict stance on copyright. You have repeatedly uploaded images without proper licensing and copyright information. This has been explained to you many times in the warnings and notes above and yet the copyright violations continue. Just yesterday, for example, you uploaded File:Sonam Kapoor at UTV event.jpg which I will be deleting momentarily as a blatant copyright violation from BollywoodHungama.com. This cannot continue. Please do continue to edit, however the image uploads need to stop until you have a better understanding of Wikipedia's copyright policy (perhaps through mentorship). If you do continue to upload non-free and copyright-violating content, your account will be blocked in order to protect the encyclopedia from possible legal implications. [edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Agent-vinod.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions. If you have a question, place a {{helpme}} template, along with your question, beneath this message.
  • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.

File permission problem with File:Cocktail Film Poster 2012.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Cocktail Film Poster 2012.jpg, which you've sourced to (Film Poster). I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 21:54, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Ram Leela for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Ram Leela is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ram Leela until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. noq (talk) 15:46, 5 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article was AFDed, and the result was redirect. Would you please stop adding unreferenced material which contradicts to this result. I am afraid if you want to have the article created you would need to go to WP:AFC, and also inform them that the previous version was deleted. Article titles

[edit]

If an article is at the wrong title, it's very very important to move the article, not copy and paste it and then redirect the old one. When you copy and paste, you lose the history of the article, which must be kept in order to retain attribution history (i.e., who made edits to the article). Copying and pasting basically violates the CC-BY-SA license that all WP pages are licensed under. Qwyrxian (talk) 13:35, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, Ek Villain

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Ek Villain. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – The Villain (2014 film). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at The Villain (2014 film) – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Bubaikumar (talk) 06:44, 4 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Finding Fanny images

[edit]

You can use a small "fair use" image on Finding Fanny. The recommended size is no larger than 100,000 pixels (pixels wide X pixels high) See Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline and WP:IMAGERES "Fair use" is not allowed on Wikipedia commons, it must be uploaded on the specific language Wikipedia such as this one: Wikipedia:File Upload Wizard . It also must be tagged fair use / non-free use. Non-free use images must be in use on an article. Failure to do so will likely result in its deletion. We noticed though that when you edited List of Bollywood films of 2017, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Imtiaz Ali. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The Home (film) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, The Home (film), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
