Hi and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your edits. Please don't change the posseessive S if it is already being used as a standard form in the article. Is it a perfectly fine usage. We go with the form already established in the article. Thanks. Anna (talk) 11:41, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I'm not sure if that's really the case. First, MOS:POSS states to add an s to "for the possessive of singular nouns, including proper names and words ending in s". Furthermore, even if one assumes both forms to be correct usage, in the article before the edit you mentioned, the usage of "Yeats'" and "Yeats's" was inconsistent. See the first and second paragraphs of the section "Key themes and John O'Leary", "Yeats' new stance" and "Yeats's own fidelity" are both present. Cheers.
