Speedy deletion nomination of Marwa Mohamed Naim
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Marwa Mohamed Naim requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. JamesG5 (talk) 04:42, 16 July 2018 (UTC)
Wikipedia & autobiographies
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but it appears you have written or added to an article about yourself, at Marwa Mohamed Naim. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. JamesG5 (talk) 04:43, 16 July 2018 (UTC)
This wasn't an autobiography, this article wasn't about myself. Thank you.
- Apologies, the similarity in names made me think it was. JamesG5 (talk) 19:20, 16 July 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, thanks for message. I deleted your article because
- it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. It is now Wikipedia policy that biographical articles about living people must have independent verifiable references, as defined in the link, or they will be deleted. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the person, press releases, Wikipedia, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the he claims or interviewing her. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls. You gave some links, but thre were to Wikipedia, not a reliable source, and it's not clear how she meets the notability criteria
- You said Importance / significance is a relative subject, what is considered important to you doesn't mean the same for me and visa versa... I thought Wikipedia isn't about the importance of the subject rather than an information Bible— no, notability os defined in the linkabove, and all articles have to meet the relevant notability criteria, it's not Facebook.
- You have an obvious conflict of interest and you must declare it. Thank you for declaring your interest. If, after reading the information about notability linked above, you still believe that yoare notable enough for a Wikipedia article (and that there is significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources), you could, if you wish, post a request at Wikipedia:Requested articles for the article to be created. See also guidance for editors with conflicts of interest and writing about yourself.
- You said in the previous section that it wasn't an autobiography, yet your account name is the same as hers, which seems a strong indicator that you are the same person. If not, why are you pretending to be her? Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:11, 16 July 2018 (UTC)
Thank you
[edit]Thank you very much for your detailed reply.
Yes there is a conflict of interest but still this isn't about myself it's my daughter(Marwa). However what i wrote was a pure pieces of information which any one can find it in Wikipedia (i didn't know that it's not a reliable source),all what I added is her birth day/place.
Also I posted one link to the IAAF(International Association of Athletics Federations). Mohamed Naim (talk) 15:24, 16 July 2018 (UTC)
