Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Tony Buffery, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Bailmoney27 (talk) 20:32, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Tony B![edit]

Hi! I just wanted to reach out to you. I created the page on your dad years ago after I Googled him & realized he didn't already have one. He deserved a Wikipedia page without a doubt, I thought! And I hoped that he would've gotten a kick out of it. I knew him in 2004-05 in Oxford, just before he went to Poland. I was on a CELTA course with him, and his uncrushable spirit and sense of the absurd helped me keep the whole ordeal in perspective. He had me in stitches every day, for which I was immensely grateful at the time. The photo was taken by me at a pub where we were celebrating our graduation (his by the skin of his teeth, to everyone's great delight). The American flag headband in the photo was for my benefit (I was an expat at the time). He alternated that evening between that headband and my pink sun hat, of which I sadly have no photo. I absolutely adored Tony. I'm so, so glad you found the page and were willing and able to fill in the many gaps I left due to (as you correctly pointed out) my not having known him as well as I would've liked. He is missed. I hope you're well. Heykerriann (talk) 00:43, 11 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
