A tag has been placed on Thomas Zeumer, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. It's a Fox! Promotion

[edit]

What about it did I think was promotional? Almost everything except "Thomas Zeumer was born in Hamburg, Germany". Please read WP:BIO, WP:SPAM, WP:NPOV and WP:RS. NPOV = neutral point of view, and RS = reliable (independent) sources. Peridon (talk) 17:50, 1 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Peridon, That's a very rude and unhelpful response. You should consider reevaluating the way you chose to deal with your responsibility as a representative of wikipedia. If I ask you what aspect of the article is promotional then I expect to receive some sort of intelligent explanation as to how it can be improved upon, not a pretentious and dismissive quip. If you, for some reason, are having difficulty imagining what you might explain in such a response I would offer this example; For example, If the topic individual is of celebrity status and they have achieved an award or accolade (ie oscar for best actor in xyz movie) then would stating that achievement be considered promotional or a factual account of that persons achievement? Is there a certain tone or style of writing that would remove the bias you criticize so unexplainably? Are theres certain aspects of the article that you see as specifically promotional that you suggest should be removed? These are the kind of questions and aspects of feedback I expect to receive from someone assigned to deal with articles of this nature. Not some vapid display of agression and lack of civility.

Now I ask you again. What aspects of the article did you think were too promotional. Mnerlino6891 (talk) 19:42, 1 February 2013 (UTC)MNerlino6891[reply]

"one of the most successful super-agents in the high-fashion modeling industry, and former president and CEO of the renowned"; "the highly anticipated ModelKarma Awards at modelkarmaawards.com"; "Fascinated by the magnetism of beauty & glamour Thomas opened a modeling agency" and so on. The whole article gave the impression of promotion. The article was also a rather too close derivative of "About me" at Zeumer's website, which was another reason for deletion. I gave you a list of policies that explain how articles should be written, and I apologise for omitting WP:COPYVIO from the list. I didn't delete it, by the way. I just deleted the talk page. Ask User:JamesBWatson why he deleted it. Peridon (talk) 23:08, 1 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Thomas zeumer requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag.
