[edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. [1] Annh07 (talk) 15:34, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Annh07 (talk) 16:40, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
- Annh07, here is an SEC link https://www.sec.gov/edgar/browse/?CIK=1088815 to Milinx info. Here is a link to the patent filed https://patents.google.com/patent/WO2001067408A1/en?inventor=maynard+dokken&oq=maynard+dokken&peid=621c6b395eba0%3A46%3Acf647840. - What more do you need. I simply have not been public. I have kept everything quiet and close to the vest so to speak. The times are different if you do not disseminate the information publicly many are missing many of the methods to create innovation. The history is incorrect. Readers are not going to have accurate information. Mldokken (talk) 16:59, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Mldokken, please discuss it on the article's talk page. Thank you. Annh07 (talk) 17:05, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Mldokken. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template)—don't forget to give details of reliable sources supporting your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Annh07 (talk) 17:05, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you Annh07, how do we update history on pages? Mldokken (talk) 17:23, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what you're asking about but if you want to update articles, you need to cite reliable sources for every statement you add to an article, please see WP:PROVEIT. Also if you need help, please post a question at the Teahouse. Thank you. Annh07 (talk) 18:10, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
- And if you're editing articles where you have a conflict of interest (a personal, political or financial interest in the topic), then you should avoid editing the article directly. Every article on Wikipedia has a discussion page; look for the tab labelled "Talk" above the article's title. As advised before, that is the appropriate place for you to raise these issues. You should take some time to learn the process for making edit requests. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 20:01, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Drm310 that is exactly what I did. Please review the citations and links to not only the sec filing, also the archived websites and patent link on Google Patents. What else do you need? Annh07 said I needed to remove those links. Please see the https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User_talk:Mldokken#c-Annh07-20240910164000-September_2024 reply. It is fact with government registered and recorded filings. As well she said we were trying to promote which made no sense at all as these are not operating companies and have no need for the traffic simply sites from 1994-2001 for content as there are in all three articles I added this information. PayPal, Authorize.net CyberCash did with links to their pages. What is particularly problematic is that these sites are providing the public false information. I was simple providing the facts. To make this clear it was not promotion I did not place any links to my personal name even thought there are many I could have included and the same was throughout for all three sites. Please advise. Mldokken (talk) 21:27, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
- Maybe it is not your responsibility to read the links. That may be what I am missing. It would be more reasonable to provide that disclaimer when making the accusations. Mldokken (talk) 21:33, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
- I will contact Counsel and ask if I should create and post my issues and place in all three article Talk and in Teahouse. Thank you for your guidance regardless. Mldokken (talk) 23:04, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
