Hard block removal
[edit]Turns out this IP (which I use from work) is blocked - hardly surprising as I believe this proxy is shared by a number of organisations and schools. Would be great if it didn't apply to those logged in, of course ;). --mjec talk 23:33, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
- No longer a problem for this account. Hard blocks are only given out when there is serious trouble of abuse of alternate accounts. However, the checkusers can sometimes tell the difference between the problematic user and innocent users using means other than the IP address. In such cases, they give permission to hand out an IP block exemption, which I gave you with permission from Alison. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 14:22, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
Salamanca Market article re-write
[edit]Was trying to help with a backlog of edit requests. I found that Corporate already made the edit you requested but didn't change the template (I did). I read the article. It is useful but it can and should be improved. After the lead, I propose:
- ==The market== with a description including details that can be documented from reliable sources such as typical attendance, parking and transportation to and from, length in meters or city blocks, and similar. More and better photographs would be great.
- ===Organization===
- ====Hobart city government====
- ====Stallholder's Association====
- ===Notable Stallholders=== if any local artists/artisans have a separate Wikipedia article.
- ===Organization===
- ==History== to include most of the contents now under decade headings.
- ===Controversy=== such as shown in Stallholder's license threat.
- ===References=== to more verifiable, reliable sources for the above info.
- ===External links===
If you can convince a stallholder to join Wikipedia, I can/will act as an independent neutral party to edit the article. I would love to visit the market one deay. I hope we can work to improve the article. I see no real difficulty keeping the tone neutral and encyclopedic. Take care, DocTree (ʞlɐʇ·cont) Join WER 22:14, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
