I used to be a contributor on Wikipedia while I was in college. My professor made it mandatory for us to create an account, add to the community on any topic, and submit our user name.

Unfortunately I forgot my username and since I don't have my school email anymore, can't login. So this is me starting out fresh :)

Rant about Wikipedia editing

[edit]

I don't understand how to do source editing, and the visual editor isn't working. Personally I feel that the quality of Wikipedia content would go up if all editing could be visual. Pages that only have source editing are going to get spammed simply because 90% of us can't edit and remove. That's frustrating.

Reference #60 -- why is this here? Reference #149 -- nice try Reference #183 -- broken link

I should also add that it's hard to know which user inserted the reference links. I assume that the user of Ref. #60 and #149 have done this multiple times.

1. It should be easy to see which user linked to each reference

2. Click their username to see all of their references on a timeline

Anyway, if someone has the time we should remove these reference links.

p.s. I have no idea what a Sandbox is, but it said it can take up to 2 months to hear back. So I made a new page. Maybe I'm the person Wikipedia want to filter out from editing?
