For the Mattapan Wiki page I added the Income status section and the house prices section as well as the services section. I added to and edited the Population, and demographics section. For the Income Status section I added the information that I read on the Boston Redevelopment website and I thought it was important to add this information because the wiki had little to no information on how much money the people who reside there are making. I added a section for house prices and types of houses because I thought that this page needed information on how much it costs to live in Mattapan and what types of homes are in this neighborhood. I edited the demographics information by adding some new information about who lives in the neighborhood. I made sure the percentages were all correct and had the most updated information. I added a Services section to the Wiki page because when I was reviewing the page it did not have any information on what kind of stores and services were located in Mattapan. ...This is being done for coursework in the Wikipedia Edu Program so I would appreciate edit suggestions made to me rather than just changed. Mattapan
[edit]Hi, Misseva1012. I've made some changes to your edits to Mattapan. There appear to be some sections in the article where you've copied material from a wikipedia page, not the edit view. See here for what that looks like, specifically: "Mattapan became more popular and more of an increasing area that people moved to.[5]" (with the [5] instead of a citation). Do you know where in your sandbox those references came from? Because it will be difficult for other editors coming to the page to find out the right source for each claim and they may remove the material entirely.
I've also removed some of the entertainment section, which is a little too boosterish for a Wikipedia article. Sourcing material from chambers of commerce can make it tough to edit, since everything they say about the local area is positive and polished.
I hope this helps, Adam (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:47, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
