Deletion debates of a few supercouples within the scope of Wikipedia: WikiProject Soap Operas
[edit]A few articles within the scope of Wikipedia: WikiProject Soap Operas have been nominated for deletion. But this is before we've gotten around to truly improving these particular articles. At this rate, if these articles are more so targeted because they are soap opera couple articles, I find it very off, given that these articles are a work in progress. I was hoping that you could lend your voice on this matter in their deletion debates, as I will contact all participants of Wikipedia: WikiProject Soap Operas to weigh in on this matter as well. I do not believe that getting rid of these or any supercouple articles on Wikipedia is the answer, improving them is.
So far, I know of three true supercoupe articles nominated for deletion:
EJ page
[edit]I know what you mean. I've switched it aorund I don't even know how many times and the person who does it never sign in so you can't really do anything about that I suggest we report it next time.Perfecttlovee
Orphaned non-free image (Image:EJ Wells 1.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:EJ Wells 1.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 03:23, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
Fictional character history
[edit]Hey, I'm not going to revert you or anything, but I wanted to note that I don't think the word "fictional" is necessary in the character history headings, it just makes the phrase awkward. All characters are fictional, otherwise we just call them people ;) Anyway, thanks for all your particpation in WP:SOAPS. TAnthony 13:56, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your response; hope you don't think I was trying to reprimand you, it's just my opinion that it's unnecessary. Thanks again! ;) TAnthony 16:59, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
- Much agreed. As each article starts off with Fictional Character in the description adding the word fictional all over is redundant.IrishLass0128 18:00, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- Hello, Miss Burkle (and IrishLass0128 too). I addressed this topic on TAnthony's talk page as well, as seen with this link. Yes, using the title of Fictional character history is too redundant, but I'm not certain which title is better to use for these plot sections on Wikipedia of fictional character articles out of the titles of either Fictional history or Character history. Information box
[edit]In regard to your changing the EJ Wells box, I believe it to be more pleasing on the eye the way it was before. While some characters use the box you changed it to, a lot do not. The box you used on the page is very displeasing and does not allow for the information to be displayed in a way that makes sense.IrishLass0128 18:00, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
Via verses Maternal/Paternal
[edit]Via is not an appropriate language when referring to siblings. The majority of pages say maternal and paternal when referring to siblings and relatives. Please do not use via as it is inappropriate terminology.IrishLass0128 19:08, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- I replied to your last inaccurate accusation on my page. Please feel free to comment.IrishLass0128 19:38, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
Starts verses stubs verses B Class
[edit]Please understand the difference before innacurately labeling articles. Please also read an entire article before judging. If a storyline is complete and additional information could possibly be added then the article is a "stub" not a "start". Understanding this information makes it easier for people to accurately enhance an article. In the case of Santo DiMera and Colleen Brady their story is done and over. No additional information can be added therefore it is finished, not started. Articles that include the elements required and can have very little information added them become B class articles. IrishLass0128 19:36, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
- Just an FYI, I started a discussion for everyone to participate in on the Soap Opera Project page so we can get a clear understanding for all involved.IrishLass0128 20:10, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:Megan Hathaway.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Megan Hathaway.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 04:08, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Jism bipasha1.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Jism bipasha1.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 11:25, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
