Your contributed article, KHAN KANDI

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, KHAN KANDI. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Khankandi. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Khankandi – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. AllyD (talk) 13:35, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of ASMERC, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.asmerc.ir/page.asp?id=19.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Speedy deletion nomination of ASMERC

[edit]

Hello Mirisa56,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged ASMERC for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.  Helenabella (Talk)  02:00, 6 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Germi weather/climate

[edit]

Dear Mirisa56, Many thanks for all your contributions to make Wikipedia more useful. I have taken the liberty to merge your articles about Germi winds and Germi weather into the main article about Germi as I feel this is more appropriate. As the articles about individual climate phenomenons in this city are probably a fringe or niche topic, it makes more sense to keep them together with the city. This follows general convention about such articles. If you have any questions, please let me know. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 09:21, 10 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article List of international meteorological stations has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This seems a copy/paste from a weather data website. Wikipedia is not a mirror of other websites: WP:NOTMIRROR, WP:NOTINDISCRIMINATE

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 09:36, 10 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on List of Iran Weather stations requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://old.wetterzentrale.de/klima/stnlst.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi:

I had to modify greatly this article you created As you seem to confuse Weather observer with meteorologist. A weather observers is a technician that record weather parameters at weather stations, radiosonde launching sites and sometime gives briefings to pilots. Their training is purely community college level, rarely Bachelors. They do not make weather forecast, those are done by meteorologists at national weather services headquarters.

Confusion

[edit]

Please do not confuse Metrology and Meteorology!

Pierre cb (talk) 22:34, 19 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed all the history text you have edited as it is a cut and paste of a word-for-word translation of https://web.archive.org/web/20120805150542/http://www.nlai.ir/tabid/2598/mid/5853/ctl/asnad/Default.aspx?Subjectmid=5850&SubjectID=4662

In order to add text, you have to :

  1. Says it in your own words,
  2. Use international years, not Islamic calendar,
  3. Add references.

Request reason:

Please do not ignore the requests of your users. Only part of the content of the articles was mistakenly copied from the site, and this was just a technical error. This is not a good reason to block and delete all user content, and it will upset them and turn them away from working on Wikipedia. Mirisa56 (talk) 04:02, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Copyright violations put the entire project in jeopardy and are one of the most serious things you can do. You had several previous warnings for this and don't seem to understand the seriousness of the problem here. The specific edit that was flagged above, the one where you copied content from here, wasn't just a technical problem. It was a blatant copyright violation. You copied the content unchanged, without adding any content of your own. This wasn't a case where "only part of the content of the articles was mistakenly copied from the site". Not only that but the content was totally unsuitable for Wikipedia anyway. Yamla (talk) 10:01, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
