Hi Miranda,

I am writing to ask for your help. I am having a problem with someone that you have warned previously.

I spent five hours writing badly needed additions to "Debtors Anonymous" (a nonprofit organization) on Wikipedia and in the process I paid very careful attention to Wikipedia guidelines.

I had not yet added the citations but was preparing to do that next.

Anyway, this person came along and very aggressively gutted all of my work out of the article (changing the article back to a bare outline).

    • The thing is, the article is for a vital nonprofit organization that is there to help people in serious need.

I also have years of experience as a writer-- and also years of experience with the organization that is the subject of the article and am very knowledgeable about the subject.

There was also nothing controversial, negative or contrary to Wikipedia policy in what I had written.

And there was a real serious problem with the original article, it was poorly written, really unclear and did not explain to the public the actual mission of the organization (making the article essentially useless).

It was merely an outline that failed to communicate the mission of this nonprofit.

So when this guy completely wiped out every single change that I had made, he was really hurting the organization represented in the article-- (and most importantly the people who need help who will not be able to clearly understand what the organization does) due to his extremely aggressive revert.

Anyway, the person that gutted the article has been warned by you previously-- so I thought I would bring this to your attention.

The article is Debtors Anonymous on Wikipedia and you can see what the guy did there in the history.

Sincerely,

P.S. Just an update. He is now communicating with me over there, which is progress. But if you still feel like taking a look that would still be welcome (I also understand that you are sometimes unavailable).

I made a sandbox for you to work on the article. It's on your page at User:Cowebd/Debtors. You can add citations there and work to improve on the article in your user space. When you are done, you can copy the finished results to mainspace. Cheers. miranda 21:51, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for taking the time to do that! I'll use it-- and I'll do some more homework as well.

Best, Cowebd (talk) 03:20, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
