On 2 March 2019, I renamed myself to Minoa, because I use the name of my NationStates nation more often than the old username. However, I chose not to abandon my old account to avoid potential complications with multiple accounts. |
Standard NYCT bullets
Hey there, just wanted to drop in and let you know you did a great job with the bullets with the standard font. However, I wanted to point out that with one bullet (the letter J), the hook doesn't come back up to make a half circle, only a quarter of a circle (I hope that makes sense). This image right here would give you a proper depiction as to how the J is supposed to look like.
In addition, I actually have a font on my laptop called SLRM, which basically has the numbers and letters in bullet form. I could forward them to you via email if you'd like so you'd have an even more accurate depiction of what the standard bullets would look like. Take care. —LRG5784 (talk · contribs · email) 21:08, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
- @LRG5784: I am aware of the SLRM font: however, it appears that after the 1970s bullets, the MTA made a number of adjustments for legibility reasons, among which was the letter J (source: J/Z service timetable). It is not uncommon for companies to make modifications to a font, usually to stand out from the competition or to improve legibility, and is why (for example) there are many versions of the Johnston typeface, from NJFont to Johnston 100. --Minoa (talk) 22:07, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
- Okay, perfectly noted. I just wanted to point out that one little tidbit considering it would remain true to the rest of the numbers and letters for the Standard typeface. But I get where you’re coming from 100%. —LRG5784 (talk · contribs · email) 00:32, 13 July 2019 (UTC)
The article Heinrich Müller (TV presenter) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No indication this biography is passing WP:NBIO.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Objectivity
Vice News is a progressive news outlet, this is not controversial nor is it an attack on their journalistic capabilities. Minds is often used by the right/far-right but it is disingenuous to portray Vice as a politically neutral company.
Cheers, Behorned
- @Behorned.horse: I had to revert your edits, because you did not provide a reliable source for such claims. Wikipedia takes claims of bias seriously, especially in light of recent events, and calling whatever media source far-left or far-right, as you have done in Minds, requires reliable sources and attribution to whoever made those claims. --Minoa (talk) 17:01, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
