Information icon Hello, I'm HickoryOughtShirt?4. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 18:33, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Let us kindly take this up in the Talk section of the article where we we can have a respectful discussion rather than starting an edit war. The current state of the page is how it has been for many months now. --Jaysmith5 (talk) 21:15, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm DVdm. I noticed that you made an edit to Albert Einstein which did not appear to conform with our policies and guidelines; Someone removed it for now. If you think they made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! - DVdm (talk) 08:09, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please come to a consensus on the article talk page about whether it is appropriate to insert her WP:ETHNICITY/WP:NATIONALITY in the lead sentence. Please do not edit war over this. Morbidthoughts (talk) 01:19, 27 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on 21 Savage; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 17:01, 10 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Last warning for edit-warring against consensus

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Will Arnett. DVdm (talk) 22:35, 16 August 2020 (UTC)im[reply]

When your edit is reverted

[edit]

When you make an edit and it's reverted, you should discuss the change that you want to make on the article's Talk page and get consensus from other editors. You've been reverted on Seth Rogen at least five times. Stop trying to force your change through an edit war and discuss it on Talk:Seth Rogen. Schazjmd (talk) 01:19, 19 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked three days for edit-warring on nationalities

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 72 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you violate Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy by inserting unsourced or poorly sourced defamatory content into an article or any other Wikipedia page again, as you did at Jamal Murray, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. —Bagumba (talk) 05:48, 2 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This is a collaborative project. Time to start using edit summaries.

[edit]

Hi Minatijeetii, I'm an administrator on this project...a volunteer dedicated to making sure things run smoothly. It's time for you to start acting more collaboratively if you want to continue editing Wikipedia. For one thing, you must start using edit summaries to describe what you're doing. If it's a minor wording change, say so. If it's a major change, say what that change is. If you are reverting someone else's edit (which you should only do rarely) you need to give a very good reason for the revert in your edit summary. It would also be helpful if you began using talk pages, including this, your user talk page, to communicate with your fellow editors. But if you continue on the track you're on, making random bold edits without edit summaries, revert warring when people undo your edits, and refusing to discuss on talk pages, I will block your account from making any edits at all. ~Awilley (talk) 22:53, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, this edit was so wildly inappropriate (adding unsourced and defamatory content about living persons) that I am blocking your account anyway. You can request to be unblocked here on your talk page. ~Awilley (talk) 22:56, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
