Welcome Miles! Glad you stumbled here and want to help out :) What are your interests in terms of types of articles? Do you think you'll do more article writing, or more behind-the-scenes tasks like tagging articles that need to be cleaned up? I have tons of ideas for stuff that needs to get done if you need any. Don't hesitate to leave me a message on my talk page if you have any questions or need anything, I'm always glad to help. Peace, delldot talk 13:59, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
I dint mind the type of articles if I can make them look better. But I m interested in science and things so those would be ok as well
- Sweet, fellow science geek! Glad you got back to me. So you're interested in making things look better? Maybe you want to start with cleaning up articles that need it? Articles that someone has recognized as needing cleanup are tagged and put in CAT:CLEANUP. You can go there, pick one that's interesting looking, and basically correct spelling and grammar, and make it conform to the Manual of style.
- Or you could do wikification, which basically means adding stuff like internal links to relevant articles (by putting [[These things]] around the word in a sentence). To find articles that need to be wikified, you can go to Category:Articles that need to be wikified and pick out one that interests you. For editing, here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Sorry, I know this is a lot of info, yet it's just a tiny part of stuff you could do around here. If these two ideas don't interest you, get back to me and I'll give you others. Thanks again for being willing to help out! Drop me a note any time. Peace, delldot talk 12:58, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Started work-- plaese discuss problems here
[edit]Ok Ive started work on the cleanup tagged articles. If anyone has any problems with what I do, pleas say so here and i will be prepared to discuss it.
Oh yes I started at the end figuring most people would start at the beginning.
Zzap!64
[edit]Thanks for looking at the Zzap!64 article and you're absolutely right. It doesn't need cleanup. I had originally tagged the article with this, rather misleading tag, in the hope that someone would include more details on certain areas (I had explained some of the reasons in the Zzap!64 talk page). It's more of an expansion than cleanup. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. --Nreive (talk) 08:48, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry. Didn't look at the talk page. This article was on the list of ones needing cleanup, but it didnt need it so i removed the tag.
Hi, deletion of sourced material requires consensus to be established on the article's Talk page; please feel free to start a discussion there. Meanwhile, I've reverted your deletion pending this consensus. --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 00:40, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
- Peoples personal opinions, sourced or not, famous or not, are irrelevant to the subject. --MilesTerrex (talk) 01:17, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
- If personal opinions are irrelevant, then perhaps the value of consensus should be apparent to you, and therefore should be sought on the article's talk page. You may have a strong argument, but equally, so may other editors. You should not unilaterally deprive them of the opportunity to make a case. That's not how Wikipedia works. There are no one-man bands here. --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 01:31, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
- I do not wish to enter the discussion thank you. I have made my point by my previous edit. Others may discuss its validity to their hearts content. BTW No offence!

Odd edits to your talk page
[edit]Hi; I noticed that User:TreeSmiler has removed at least one message from your talk page: [1].
Do you know why he's doing that? Cheers, TenOfAllTrades(talk) 17:11, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- Nevermind; it's because you're a sockpuppet. This account has been indef-blocked under the terms of your parole. TenOfAllTrades(talk) 18:17, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
