Request reason:

I JUST signed up, and within a few minutes of reading through the beginner's help pages, came across a page which stated that I was BLOCKED. I have no idea why, as I've only just now signed up. According to the block "help" page, I read that there are a number of reasons why this could happen "by accident", so I'm guessing that I am one of these cases. Your help in un-blocking my account would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. 'Mike McKirahan

Decline reason:

You don't appear to be blocked; see below. Hersfold (t/a/c) 20:30, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You haven't been blocked directly (there are no entries in your block log), so we need some more information from you: what's the exact message you see when you try to edit? HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 19:35, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see that your IP address is blocked either. What may have happened is you tried to edit a protected or semi-protected page, and was unable to edit it because your account is new. To see if that's the case, try editing our sandbox by clicking here. You should see an open text box that you can type into as you did when you posted here. If you don't, then you are blocked somehow. Should that happen, please request unblocking again, copying the entire reason for your block here. That should provide enough information that we can figure things out. Hersfold (t/a/c) 20:30, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
