My edits
[edit]Hey there! What are your reasons for reverting my edits in Manila? You even remove a vital part of it on the Arts and Culture. Would you mind if I change the picture on Manila's header? It's so noisy. --PH 0447 (talk) 10:49, 6 March 2013 (UTC)
Mapping the Global Economy
[edit]Hi Miguel, I am looking for volunteers to re-create the link below for all 196 countries. http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User:Mcnabber091/Economy_of_the_United_States The goal of this project is to map out the global economy. Here is the project page https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Global_Economic_Map — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mcnabber091 (talk • contribs) 03:41, 10 April 2013 (UTC)
Manila:Economy
[edit]Regarding "The plan to make the Chinatown area into a BPO hub is being pursued (not championed) by the city government of Manila." I had consulted the source prior to my edit. I'll concede your reversion but my edit was just to substitute a softer word since a government (any) can only promote and make available an area for private enterprise to truly develop. It was a slight semantic nod to private enterprise instead of making it seem as if only government action mattered. While incentives and accessibility are important, government efforts can only go so far.
In any event, thanks for the regression. --andyJSD 14:25, 11 July 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ajsdecepida (talk • contribs)
The Necessity of expanding
[edit]The old version of the article did not even mention the formation of the 1st Republic, the dissolution of Mexico or the rise of the Illustrado class, central to every Philippine textbook. I also feel that the British Occupation deserves a space of it's own rather than being subsumed under Spanish Period because important events like Diego Silang's Revolt happened precisely because the British invaded. Furthermore, the expanded version underscores the fact that Mexican influence via New Spain is different than the Spanish influence which happened directly. Let's discuss the merits and demerits of this expansion. :D
Truly Yours.

Tagalog help needed
[edit]Hello Miguel, I'm contacting you because we need some Tagalog translators to help with the deployment of the new VisualEditor on tl.wikipedia. There are help pages, user guides, and description pages that need translating, as well as the interface itself. The translating work is going on over on MediaWiki: Translation Central. I also need help with a personal message for the Tagalog Wikipedians. If you are able to help in any way, either reply here, or head over to TranslationCentral. Thanks for your time, PEarley (WMF) (talk) 17:35, 2 September 2013 (UTC)
Why Manila is the world's first Global City
[edit]According to the book entitled, The Prize of All the Oceans. by Williams, Glyn published by Viking, New York. ISBN 0-670-89197-5, p. 4. It is stated that Manila is being fought over by many world empires and one can deduce even from on'es common sense that Manila is the worlds' first global city because the Manila Galleons marked the first time trade truly became global, wherein goods from the Western Hemisphere (The old world and the Americas) where traded for goods from the Eastern hemisphere (Asia) as what exactly happened during the Manila Galleons. It did not happen before the Manila Galleons era but it happened after it. Yet, this fundamental fact is put under the table. Why can't people just accept the truth? I cannot allow people to denigrate and remove this honor from a the City who holds this title originally. It is the city of our affections, the city which almost all great empires tried to fight over and then you come waltzing in and say oh! It's just a beta global city? Lol it's the original global city. Thank You.

- Actually I am not the one who removed the statement "world's first global city". Thank you. Miguel raul 09:41, 29 October 2013 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution
[edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from History of Manila into Manila. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa (talk) 23:00, 5 August 2016 (UTC)
