Re: Your AfC (Waygood Bump)

[edit]

Thank you for your feedback. This is a new process for me so please forgive any mistakes but I find it very interesting and will be creating/updating information related to the testing and inspection of electronics. Agilent seemed to have high jacked a well known test access technique and branded it as there own. The first name that was use for the technique that I can find was "Waygood Bump" [1]. I have talked to the author and Rex Waygood and have a copy of the book and can provide a pdf copy of the page if needed. David Boswell give it the name Waygood Bunp in 1996 after Rex who had been using the technique for many years, I don’t want to cause any problem with updating the bead probe technology with the waygood bump information but to state that “new test point placement method” is just incorrect. Miffo7uk (talk) 09:40, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you can find some reliable sources, then by all means, add the information to the bead probe article. I was only opposed to the creation of another article that duplicated most of the information of an existing article. If bead probes were indeed called Waygood bumps, "bead probe" is still the name most laymen would know them by. Krashlandon (talk) 17:58, 12 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your help. I'll update the bead probe information later this week. Miffo7uk (talk) 17:12, 14 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
