Hi. Although the article could definitely do with some expansion, I don't see why the clean-up tag is necessary. Is there a particular problem with the article? - Shudde talk 00:36, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Are there any major WP:MoS concerns? If so what? You may want to replace the tag with something more specific, because I don't think saying it needs a cleanup is going to encourage or help people to improve the article that much unless it's more specific. - Shudde talk 01:23, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
Thanks Michelle I really appreciate it! - Shudde talk 01:37, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Point Piper real estate

I noticed that you removed some data out of Sydney suburb articles and cited the reason as Real Estate talk. I was wondering whether you could have a look at the Point Piper, New South Wales article, as I think it has an excessive amount of Real Estate talk. Cheers. J Bar 06:23, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

Nantes

I'm glad to help. Three days seems reasonable -- longer protection is generally not a good idea. I will, however, be unavailable August 3-6, so someone else will have to look after this situation until I return. Regards, Ground Zero | t 12:05, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

I have just reported the anon user and User:Firstwind to admin for sockpuppeting and general continued vandalism, you might like to give your two cents! Schcambo 11:07, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
Apparently it got moved to the archives, no idea why, so I've reopened it here. Schcambo 10:18, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

On baking...

The other thing which immediately struck me also was that councils don't build churches, or mosques. Orderinchaos 02:32, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

Penny Wong

I am perfectly aware that Wong is a Chinese surname. That is not the issue. The issue is what is Penny Wong's name. She is an Australian citizen, she has never been a Chinese citizen, and in Australia we write names in the Roman alphabet. Should we write Petro Georgiou's name in Greek, or Joe Hockey's in Armenian? Hi Michellecrisp! This is just to say that it reeeally bugs me when editors shove banners, such as the one stating that more references are needed, into an article in such a way that it stuffs up the layout of everything around it. Yes, the article or section probably does need more references, but like every other addition to any article, there are good and bad ways of doing things. Please utilise the "Show preview" option to check out the effect that your tag is having, in the way that you would look at any other edit before saving it.

Second Message

Hi Michelle! I notice that you have editted out my descriptive comments.

Can I suggest that you try your hand at writing something in the introduction that expresses the things about Newtown which have, for the last 30 years, made it unique among the suburbs of Sydney. The words I suggest are "cosmopolitan" (but that is not enough because it describes other suburbs equally well) and "camaraderie". That is the thing that is totally Newtown.

You have a go at capturing it in words. I do not know how to do it effectively, except by anecdote. But right now, the introduction is less than useless because it says nothing that one would recognise as being distinctly Newtown.

University of Canberra

Hi Michelle - just wondering why you are making edits to the University of Canberra - wondering what your relationship to us is - as we're trying to update our content but it keeps being changed - and we're not sure why. Thanks, tiffking2615.

University of Canberra is trying to update its content to reflect that of other Universities, such as the University of Western Australia. Why aren't we being allowed to do this? Why can't we match other Australian universities in terms of style and content? Why are we being treated differently? Why can't we include links like other Australian Universities? —Preceding unsigned comment added by tiffking2615 (talkcontribs) 23:59, 3 August, 2007 (UTC)
