Request reason:

My account has been blocked and I don't understand why. I haven't provided faulty or biased information and I was blocked by a user I am not familiar with. The little information I did post was well sourced and fair. I believe I was accused of being a "sockpuppet" of a user named "Sima Azad" but I also do not know this user.

Decline reason:

The Checkuser tool has found that the two of you used the same IP address all or most of the time. — Daniel Case (talk) 15:34, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

"I use a networked computer from work is that a possible source of error? Could you send me the IP address for confirmation please. It is my first wikipedia account and I am not familiar with how this works."

Decline reason:

You may wish to review Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/Sima-azad, which discusses the checkuser evidence. Checkuser compares the IP addresses used by one account with IP addresses used by another account. Where the addresses are the same or similar, user accounts are said to be confirmed or likely sockpuppets. Where sockpuppetry is listed as likely, edit patterns are taken into account - and, in this case, you helped to create an article that had been repeatedly created and recreated by accounts listed as sockpuppets of the banned user Sima Azad. This is sufficient evidence to warrant a block, unfortunately. UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 20:08, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
