Image Copyrights

[edit]

Please do not upload copyrighted photos to wikipedia. All images uploaded to wikipedia must have source information and an acceptable copyright tag. These are either a free license such as the GFDL or an appropriate fair use claim. Any images you have uploaded without correct information will be tagged for deletion. Please ask me, if you have any questions. --Martyman-(talk) 05:37, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Non-notable articles

[edit]

Wikipedia has a policy of not allowing articles about non-notable people or subjects. Your article on Tan Rui Xiang didn't seem to have any great claim to notability in it. Please see Wikipedia:Notability (people) for some information on what is classed as notability. Please sign talk messages with four tildas (~~~~) this will automatically add a signature after your comment. --Martyman-(talk) 06:09, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I did not mark the two who competed in the SEA games for deletion. Anyway my page is not the place to make your assertations of notability. You should post a vote to keep the page at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tan Rui Xiang. You will probably have to back up your claim of notability with some references abou the athletes. --Martyman-(talk) 06:14, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Look, I already told you the place to make your argument is on the deletion page not my user page. It is not up to me, it is up to the people who vote there. If there are references for these people please add hem to teh articles, that is the best way to prove they are worth keeping. And please do not remove comments you have already posted and please sign your comments like I have already asked you to. --Martyman-(talk) 06:24, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Please do not remove AfD notices on pages, thanks! Tawker 07:19, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:380002HISC2005.jpg. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. -- Carnildo 16:03, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Michaeltt! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 7 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. U. K. Shyam - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Erzalmaniq Fawy Rawi - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
